I got same bike, had it running for 6 years, I was riding thru desert, it died fell over, I did compression test, #3 had none, I took engine apart, I noticed camshaft out of time with crankshaft, it slipped time, I read manual, I wasn't adjusting cam chain tensioner every 2k, miles like I was supposed to. I'm in process of putting it back together, hope it runs again .
Im crossed between the beat and the Honda S660.. and i think ill go with the S660..
Was that the oil cooler above the leak. Worth checking. A fine mesh guard perhaps a good idea but it's probably the pipe seals. I'd like a quieter exhaust. As you said, "kinda LOUD in here"
+10000 aura
this is awesome, what trike is this? is it custom built?
Hey, thanks! The trike is fully custom, it's based on the Verrado design from Local Motion. Uses a 52v battery and 1500w Magic Pie motor. It's a lot of fun!
Ok muchas gracias y la transmisión de 5 belosidades
What a great trip!!! I have a Beat, and I have a comment regarding oil consumption. I believe it is normal and to be expected to see a reduced oil level over a relatively short period of time. My car does not burn oil due to worn rings or valves, but rather it burns oil because these engines produce a large amount of oil vapor. Compression and leak-down tests confirm this. Because our engines are frequently spinning at 5, 6, and 7k RPM means the oil is getting splashed more than an average car engine would. That oil vapor is piped back into the intake plenum, and is burned off along with the gas/air mixture. So no matter what, if you have one of these cars you must be checking the oil level frequently. Having used a bore scope on mine, I found that there is a lot of carbon build up on the intake valves from this oil vapor. Therefore I encourage anyone with a Beat to install an oil catch can. You still have to check the oil level frequently, and occasionally empty the catch can. But it will prevent carbon build up on the valves. Universal oil catch cans are less than $50 on Amazon, and aren't difficult to install.
That car at the start is sick
Is this Super 8? i know nothing about cameras or film, ive just heard the name sometimes when the subject has been about 90's film.
Super 8 usually refers to a type of analog film that was used back in the 70's or 80's. This isn't Super 8, since it's a digital camera. I'm glad it made you think of Super 8 though! I was going for 'stylistically unique'.
Awesome camera, gave this a really classic vibe. Also cool drifting. Nice one. :)
Thank you!

És un ka24de que viene en un Nissan 240sx
I recently bought a 1968 c30 laurel. Im pretty sure its all 510 suspension front and rear. I think this will work for it. The laurels Knuckles are kinda backwards compared to the 510. Due to the laurel having a manual rack in front of the crossmember. But the brakes and struts look like the 69 510 i owned before. Thanks for the videos✌️
Love the videos, don't know how im just finding them now.✌️
What Year Is It
Whats The Model Name
Hi. Where did you get the can am box. Only place i seen is james site but its sold out, and their facebook has been inactive since 2023. the how to forum is from 2007
Where can I get that Brakes Disc System?
first thing I noticed was the wheels and they look great!
Great video. I'm interested to know what Air Shocks you used and were they successful? I want to go down the same route with my 620 here in UK. Also I noticed the red 620 has a windshield sun visor. Where did you get that? Cheers
What brake caliper did you use
That sound! Love it!
En cuanto salen en pesos mex
Have you gotten the speed limiter removed yet?
Just needs a turbo kit lmao
I tihnk your seats should be yellow! btw are you constantly redlining the car on the freeway?
Probably close. Top speed is 84 MPH, and that's indicating about 8,100 on mine. 55 MPH is 5k, so running highway speeds means running at 7k for long periods.
Needs to be geared up
Awesome! Great job!
I love your camper shell, where did you get it
Fun fact: I discovered recently that Pure Gum Spirit Turpentine clears up acne in just a few days to a week. Just mix it with a carrier oil so it won't evaporate, like vegetable oil, olive oil, coconut oil or MTC oil. Rub it in affected area and that's it. But don't use hardware store turpentine, it has to be organic, contained in a dark glass bottle, not in a tin can.
bubble windows 😂😎
Say I just bought a 1977 620 king cab looking to market it to sale.
What size wheels are they
Nice wagon
Nice video bro 👏👏👏
What are your fitment specs if you don’t mind me asking?
What is that grinding sound at low speeds?
If what you are hearing is mostly on/off partial throttle whining, I think it's the transmission input shaft bearing. They appear to be a common wear item on these cars. Amayama has these bearings at this time, and they are about $20. Getting to it to replace is a job, but it can be done by someone with moderate mechanical skills. RHD_Ron on YT has a good tutorial on this job. If one decides to replace that bearing I suggest doing all your maintenance at that time: Timing belt, water pump, cam and crank seals, clutch, the works. And trust me, dropping the engine / trans / rear sub-frame all at once is the way to go. It's easier in the long run to lower all three as a unit.
am i crazy for thinking about doing a cross country roadtrip in a beat
Yes. 65mph in 5th gear is 5700 rpm, that should be enough to tell you it would be awful. Stay off the highways and it is nice.
This video rocks! Your build is freakin sweet I’m doing a KA swap on my ‘78 620 right now, and am curious if you were able to use the stock instrument cluster for the swap. Thank you!
Terbaik wagon cantik..
Waiting to see the 510 !
Hello, where did you get the engine mounts for this swap?
I’ve seen that datsun 🤔
I love your Honda beat, it’s so clean. I can’t wait to get my own beat!
Great Video! Subscribe 👍🏽
Where did you get your radio surround?
Its probably not backpressure, you probably built a system that has good scavenging properties
You should Torque the spindle nut to at least 50 ft/lb (in other words, make em as tight as a lugnut) while spinning the rotor to seat the bearings. Then, loosen and tighten hand tight. Put the castellated cover on and turn the nut tighter just until the (NEW) cotter pin slides through. Now your preload is set correctly. Any tighter than that and you will severely reduce the life of those wheel bearings. Also, you really should use loctite on all those rotor hat bolts (since you cant exactly get in there easily to retorque them) and, lastly, you should be repacking your wheel bearings. Also: if you slightly depress the brake pedal before loosening the brake line, the brake fluid wont continue to drip out, because you will have covered the atmospheric compensation port in the master cylinder with the MC piston. Sorry for the PSA and nice video. 😊
