The laser engraving of the serial numbers on the bolts of several 457 that I know of was very coarse and made bolt travel not smooth at all. This can be solved with a good polish, ~ 3 Minutes of very fine grit (1200 or higher with oil) paper on a flat surface. They now run completely smooth. (PS: I too was wondering about the smooth bolts in all those videos 😂. I can assure you, out of the box some are worse than late Remington 700s, after the polish they are almost smooth like a tikka 😅. It is a very easy fix and well worth the effort). Cheers
75yds Yes! More like it, 30 yds is barely a test of accuracy for an air rifle let alone a CZ rimmy. I remember your early tests in Shooting Sports mag, where you advocated a 75yd zero for .22 subs. giving useable range out to 100yds+ with reasonable hold over/under aimpoints.

Hi, the Zeiss scope is a Z4 Conquest 4-16x50mm with Reticule 64 and ASV elevation turret, hope that helps.

My 457 Synthetic bolt is as out of the box and very smooth and a joy to use.
all CZ 457 actions are exactly the same

I've always avoided Eley as a brand. They refuse to put the FPS on most of their ammo packages. CCI are like, "here you go, grains & velocity".
If only it used a ruger magazine it would be everything in one awesome rifle.
