    This is the first video I've seen on changing out CZ 457 barrels that even mentions, let alone demonstrates, the metal space in the action and how it interacts with the barrel.

    Outstanding instructional video Mate! My new CZ457 Pro Varmint should be at my FFL in the next 3 or 4 days. Can't wait to dress it up with the after market parts I've already purchased. Keep up the good work, and thank you!

    I’m with Smakula, this is the first video I’ve seen that integrates the magazine. . It’s certainly not on the CZ video. I have searched this topic many times in the past, this is a gem. Good job Mate! I’m getting ready to do a barrel swap. I’m hesitant because it’s shooting well right now, 3/4 moa pretty consistently, plenty of 4 in one hole then the idiot behind the scope (aka, flyer) doesn’t do his job correctly. I’ll wait for bad weather but I’m curious. Thanks again.

    Metal "spacer" is same for all the calibers. Only thing that matters is plastic spacer in magazine well. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PUT METAL SPACER OUT OF THE ACTION. IT IS RECOMENDED TO LOOSEN REAR MAGAZINE WELL SCREW SO THE METAL SPACER DOES NOT PUT PRESSURE TO THE BARREL WHEN REMOVING. AFTER BARREL INSTALATION JUST SLIGHTLY TIGHTEN THE REAR MAGAZIE WELL SCREW SO THE SPACER IS TIGHT AGAINST THE BARRREL.

    I really appreciate you making this video. I just ordered the .17 HMR barrel for my CZ 457 and wasn't sure how to swap it. Also, how quiet will the .17 HMR be with a suppressor, and is it even worth it?

    • @Smakula
      @Smakula 8 месяцев назад +1

      obviously it won't get the subsonic quietness like a standard velocity 22 since it's a high velocity round, but it will tame the volume quite a bit and direct the sound downrange more

    Hi Chris, really helpful video - thank you. I’ve swapped the original HMR barrel for the .22 LRP barrel on mine. Didn’t realise there was a metal spacer inside the action. I didn’t get a different one with my LRP miniset - does that matter? Should the spacer stay put regardless of which caliber and barrel I’m using?

    Hey Chris...quick question... I hope you can help me figure out which version of the CZ 457 22LR can switch interchangeable barrel with 17HMR ? I see multiple versions of the 457 22LR available but unsure if any would be able to interchangeable barrel with 17HMR? I don't have access to a combo, so I need to pick the right version of 22LR 457 and 17HMR barrel separately, just want to make sure I pick the right version to build a combo Thank you!

    Hi Chris. Did you do a review of the WMR version? Intend to replace my 452 with the rifle featured in this video but also want the .22 WMR kit to go with it. Can you swap out the .22LR with the .22 WMR kit on the camo stainless, or is the channel too narrow?

    • @chrisparkin431

      @@johnclark4095 very few people seem to bother with wmr these days, external barrel profile os the only interchangeability issue depending on stock type

      @@chrisparkin431 I'm quite keen on it. I have a 455 in .17 HMR but quite fancy the WMR as a foxing round where the location might not favour the .223

    I apologize in advance for this novice question. I bought a cz 457 22lr a month ago but want to change it to 22hmr. Do i need to buy a new hmr barrel or keep the 22lr barrel but just swapped out the spacer?

    • @chrisparkin431
      @chrisparkin431  5 месяцев назад

      @@uno50G there isn't a "22HMR", there is a 17 HMR or a 22 WMR. Regardless, you need an appropriate barrel
