It was a brutal expirence the accuracy of this beast is beyond your imagination, the computer calculate every shot and showed us the hit posability, no matter what angle it never dropped below than 94 %. Every shot was in a range below 12 m radius, which is a direct hit. When we shoot on flying targets, a plane come with a long wire and on the end of this wire was maybe 2m large sack. As a cannon SPAA, it is the most effective in use now. However, it is only useful against low flying, close and slow targets. It is good for intercepting drones, particularly incautious helicopters or specific cruise missiles although less efficiently in the last case. The problem is, all flying vehicles among all aircraft, helicopters and some UCAV possess missiles, rockets or glide bombs capable of striking them from outside their range. Their low range forces them to deploy either close to the enemy to cover positions, and be exposed to artillery and air strikes, as well as loitering munitions (the first and only gepard kill so far is accredited to the lancet-3), or retreat to the rear, where its use would be to fend off drones and act as moral support against cruise missiles. A less orthodox use would be as ground support like the shilka, but even in that vehicles such as the BMPT-2 and its foreign analogues are superior. The tunguska is a mid cannon SPAA, but it compensates by having missiles as well. The Pantsir improves it further, outclassing the Gepard in its specific role.
