Showing SHEDDING is SO IMPORTANT - thank you for showing and talking about shedding! - because it is a process that ALL HAIR experiences. Learning the difference between YOUR HAIR’S normal rate of shedding FROM a problematic amount really HELPS each person do a better job with her/his haircare! ✌🏽
I most definitely did have a lot of shedding last time I took out my hair but this time I had little to no shedding even after two months of braids so I was impressed!
Ikr I'm currently watching this video with a head full of dry strands but that will change soon and a Isi hair care video is just the motivation needed to help with that change.
Honestly looking at your hair is like drinking a cold glass of water in the middle of the hot deserted desert. I have been trying to grow my natural hair and when I see your videos it just gives me motivation, inspiration and something to look forward to. I have the same hair type as you!
ogx was actually proven to have a chemical inside it that can cause hair loss, as soon as i STOPPED using this brand my hair got so much healthier, no hate to your channel, i absolutely love you videos!!
So I just bought an OGX shampoo. Thank God I took chemistry because it has sodium hydroxide (NaOH, aka drain cleaner) in it…. I understand it’s to balance out the acidity but like it’s pretty high on the list for the one i boufht
OGX had quite a few of their products recalled July 2021, because they have hair loss and cancer causing ingredients and also they are owned by Johnson & Johnson’s, so that’s a brand I am hesitant about trying. But glad to see that you are a fan of it.
Not only that, but their products dried my hair out severely. I will never use them again lol. I think they are trying to make their products more “inclusive” of textured hair, but I think most of their products really aren’t compatible with my hair. But it is good to share both sides so people can make an informed purchase.
My 4c hair sheds the same amount after keeping my locs in for 6 weeks-month . It’s pretty normal especially with our lengths as well as how much hair naturally sheds on a daily basis 💖
I love watching the 'wash day' videos and I love and appreciate your honesty when it comes to shedding. Some youtubers don't share that part, leaving some of us thinking there is something wrong with our hair if we experience shedding during wash day. Thank you for your honesty.💜
Hey gang, I just wanna say that this product has been know to break hair and cause hair loss. Please google this brand and look at the pictures. Please remember to continue to research what is being used loves! Idk when this video was recorded and when she used the product but respectfully I’ve know this company has have problems for years, and I only use this for my wigs and honestly the only things I used this product. Please be safe loves!
I was thinking that- I used to use this brand when I first started my curly hair journey- before I did more research, but maybe they changed their formula?
I just finished taking out twist. It took two days to do. It was tangled and and hurted. I definitely will be trying the conditioner method before the take down. 💕👏🏾😍
I love your look at the end!!! The green dress and hair is pretty!!!! My sister SWEARS by that conditioner and hair oil. I keep telling myself I have to try it. Reminder saved 😁
I'm so glad you showed your actual shedding. Watching some of these videos and their 2 strands they lost I seriously thought something was wrong with my hair😄
This video was aesthetically pleasing as always, I love how you matched your bathing suit with your loofahs! Idk if that was on purpose but the details popped! ❤
I'm definitely going to try the conditioner and hair oil to take out my hair. I always get a lot of shedding. Hopefully your method will help. You make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing❤❤❤❤❤
I love ogx the purple, tea tree and the coconut lines are my fave they smell real good and clean and condition real good! I make my own oils or use shea butter etc so I don’t use the oils but I’ve been using forever and now my hair is locked and I still love them
I definitely used some tips last week to get my hair ready for a new protective style. Thanks isi for the healthy tips. Your hair has grown so much in a year
The style is cute! You should try the conditioner on the wig, it helps to soften the synthetic fibers and make them last longer. I believe this was like the "fingercomber" wig or smthng that you got a while back. I believe it was synthetic, my apologies if not but the conditioner helps either way. 😊
i had my locs in for like three months and i had so much shedded hair and product build up it was crazy😭 and now i’m lowkey mad that i didn’t use ur method cus that take down process was wild 💀
The 1st amount of shedding comes out for ME in 2 months...I'm Rollin BACK to the braids nxt weekend😁 You doin it...glad you are getting your healthy length back
Sis you might of just put me on to something. I can keep a protective style in for like 3 months and the detangling process before a wash is always a PROJECT so I’m definitely going to try using oil plus conditioner next time.
What are u calling your pigtails?? Are u saying PINK tails?? 😂 Your natural hair looked so cute and healthy and clean and beautiful and then you threw on that dang wig ..... anyways love u regardless and love your content. Have a good week 😙😘😘
For a beginner in natural hair ur tips be on point. I definitely use ur method in taking down my protective styles and I bought and use hair mask. Thank you
I was all the way with you until that wig 🤣 I'm just messing with you. I appreciate the video. I'm going on month 2 of a sew in that I plan on having for 3 months. Just washed my leave out the day. It refreshed the entire hairstyle.
You da reason I started washing & conditioning my hair in twists! The struggle was too real but now my detangling and wash time is half of what it used to be!😭 #TheStruggleAintSoRealNoMore
Yes! I heard about hat Johnson and Johnson scandal with some of the shampoo’s ingredients releasing an excess amount of formaldehyde, which is a carcinogen.
@@lilnativa_That_4C_hair_Chick I only use their oils and conditioners. It gives me the perfect slip but the shampoo is too harsh. Hask some similar stuff
Your full healthy mane is just gorgeous and total goals. I don't know how to braid, so I got to figure something out for a good protective style for my hair. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Weird question, but can you show your set up for when you wash your hair? Like do you have a shower mirror cause I find its so much easier to see yourself while doing all this in the shower. Thanks!
That was very informative. I'm actually a fan of that brand so I'm gonna go grab those products and do exactly what you did when I take down my hair soon
I wish I could go longer periods of time without washing/manipulating my hair/scalp being that I’ve seborrheic dermatitis my scalp would be on fire an smelly 😭
Happy to see some natural hair care content. Your hair turned out super cute. Did your water get cold? That's the issue I have on wash day. I can never seem to get everything done in the shower before the water turns cold.

I’m definitely saving this video for the end of the month when I take out my braids 😭😭 so glad you’re getting back to some natural hair videos 💛
Same here! I love putting her natural hair videos in a mini playlist for when I do my own hair

Why cover it with that dag wig

Exactly!! And they have carcinogens in their products, werent they sued for this like a year or 2 ago?
What? I'm going to research. Thanks.
Don’t think sis cares lol, she just want the sponsors cash, smh. It’s her job though
So I just bought an OGX shampoo. Thank God I took chemistry because it has sodium hydroxide (NaOH, aka drain cleaner) in it…. I understand it’s to balance out the acidity but like it’s pretty high on the list for the one i boufht
@@Pmomo2346 maybe she didn’t know 🤷🏽♀️ I’m sure she wouldn’t jeopardize the health of her hair for a sponsor

Thanks ladies for your insights, definitely not getting these...
Yeah I’ve heard pretty bad things as well, my bf’s hair was shedding terribly and I told him to stop using ogx and his hair is a lot better now
Whoooaaaa❗️❗️ thanx for the info I never use that brand anyways to much protein 😮
Yea I don’t mess with OGx anymore for this exact reason.

It’s so cute that you call them “Ping tails” 😂😂❤️ Love it , I’ll be taking my locs out soon too 🥰
I heard pink tails
Yeah she said a k not a g 😂
I always do mine and my kids hair right out the shower, it's definitely helps in retaining a lot of length!

Agreed and I like that the idea of adding a half wig, must try.
Perfect timing! Today is wash day for me too!

Shedding is completely normal but excessive Shedding is not though
the matching loofahs and bathing suit was so aesthetically pleasing
