- Update: As of August 2020, person detection is only available with the Wyze cameras if you buy the Cam Plus plan, which costs either $14.99 a year or $1.99 a month. You can now get 60 days of cloud storage if you buy a Blink subscription
You don’t need to spend a bundle to get smart home security. None of the cameras on this list, namely the #WyzeCam, the #TendIndoor2, the #BlinkXT2 and last but not least, the #AmazonCloudCam, cost more than $120!

10:51 Recap
Want to get a security camera for less than $120? Believe it or not, that’s totally possible with these options from Wyze, Tend, Canary, Blink, and Amazon, all top smart home security brands. I’ll be putting these cameras up to Security Baron’s Necessary Features Test, where I judge them based on video, audio, night vision, storage, smart platform integrations, artificial intelligence, value, and convenience. Of course, I want my camera to be user-friendly and have an installation process, so I’ll be talking about that as well. Enjoy my review of the #WyzeCam, the #TendIndoor2, the #BlinkXT2 and last but not least, the #AmazonCloudCam!

This is crazy that you are taking a look at the Wyze cam as I just bought 4 from ebay and they come in today.
What a coincidence! Good choice my friend.
Great video.
Thank you Leo! Have you seen my written content as well? bit.ly/2lHaqcm
I don’t like that he doesn’t say anything really negative about his products so it’s hard to differentiate which ones better
I agree. Usually, when there are no negatives mentioned, it means they are getting paid by the manufacturers to talk about the products. Notice, he didn't mention that they AREN'T getting paid to talk about any of these cameras? 99% means that they are getting paid somehow by these companies. If that's the case, this isn't a review - it's a paid advertisement posed as a "review" - which is super shady and dishonest.
Hey there. I have bought the Logitech Circle 2. So far I was pretty happy with the thing BUT now I am asked to pay extra for the “people recognizing” feature. I refuse to pay monthly thing for features that work on hardware after buying it. PLEASE let me know which cam I should get as replacement which is equal to the Cirle 2 but without the extra monthly payments. (Implementation within HomeKit is a big plus)
Hi Peter,
Here are some options with free person detection with Apple HomeKit integrations:
1. Netatmo Welcome (also has facial recognition for up to 32 faces): bit.ly/2JZNEIz
2. Netatmo Presence (same): bit.ly/2J7Y8Dj
Unfortunately HomeKit is pretty limiting so there's not too many options, but Netatmo makes great cameras. Hope that helped!
Wyze hands down.
One of my favs as well! We're actually giving out a Wyze Cam in our February giveaway. More info on the camera here: bit.ly/2Tj7oeq
Can you monitor live video feed on the Wyze v2?
Yep, in the Wyze app for free! More info on the Wyze V2 here: bit.ly/2Tj7oeq
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. I want 3 cameras. I want 1 inside and 2 facing out the windows. Which cameras are good for looking out the window? Do I get a outdoor camera or indoor camera?
Cameras don't typically work through windows because of the glare, so definitely get 2 outdoor cameras to look outside. These lists might help:
Best indoor cameras: bit.ly/2OV43Pc
Best outdoor cameras: bit.ly/2JeoKlQ
I got wyze and its inside facing out the window and it works great. Caught 2 people trying to break in my home.... And I KNEW THE PEOPLE 😂😂😂
Do the wyze cam need a memory card?
You don't need it because there's 14 days of free cloud storage, but you can buy a 32 GB micro-SD card separately if you want local storage as well. More info on the Wyze Cam here: bit.ly/2Tj7oeq
And if you want continuous recording. Otherwise just motion and sound detection clips of 12s.
I JUST set my simplicam up 2 days ago, and now this video comes out...talk about timing

I have 2 Wyze v2 but I cannot talk through them but I can through the Wyze Cam Pan
I have four V2's and one pan and can talk through all of them.
That's odd, all of the Wyze cameras have two-way audio. Maybe check your app settings? Here's my written review for more info: bit.ly/2Tj7oeq
When you speak the audio levels are awesome but then there are these random spurts of super loud music. I had to turn my volume down and back up every time. Very annoying.
i put my middle finger against every camera with paid clud storage.
