Hello Security Baron, I'm wondering if you can help me. I will appreciate it if you can. I'm an evolutionary biologist from UC Santa Cruz and I work with pollinators in the tropical forest. Right now I have a project in Costa Rica, where is very humid, and I need to record floral visitors in the forest. One of the best options I'm considering is to use security cameras to do that. I need them to have the next features: HD (the best possible resolution), motion detection, local storage, climate resistance, and wireless. What do you recommend? Thanks!
Wow, what a unique request! I'd go with the Arlo Pro 3. It's weather-resistant, works in temperatures from 14-113 degrees Fahrenheit, has local storage through the Arlo base station, motion detection with AI detection for packages, people, animals and vehicles optional, and it's wireless. Plus it shoots in 2K HDR with excellent color and infrared night vision. Learn more here: bit.ly/2kXrzPe

Hi, which camera are you talking about? The Wyze Cam gives you 14 days of cloud storage which I think you might be talking about. After those days are over, it will start rewriting your oldest footage and replacing it with your newest footage. No paid cloud storage options beyond 14 days, but there's local storage so you can download it to a hard drive. Not sure what you mean by range either but here's more info on the Wyze Cam here: bit.ly/2Tj7oeq
On the camera's that track movement, do these cameras go back to their original set location once the object being tracked has left its field of view or does it stay where it last tracked. For instance, I set camera in middle and it captures me move left to right and pans as I move. Once I am out of the view of the camera will it go back to the middle?

WHO HAS THE TIME TO SIT AROUND AND MONITOR SECURITY CAMERAS ALL DAY LONG. So great, you're staring at the monitor at 3am and you catch someone messing with your car. SO NOW WHAT? Are you willing to get up off your butt, grab your shotgun and go confront the criminal?
I see Nest Cam Indoor took the "Best cam for apartments" title 2019 and 2020. Nest is in the lead. Although the ring stick up cam is apartment friendly being wireless with the battery pack and its affordable 👀. Gabe I think Nest is your favorite.
Even though they're expensive, Nest cams are really high quality in terms of video, audio, AI, night vision...the list goes on. Check out my full review for the Nest Cam IQ Indoor: bit.ly/2ED0giH
This video feels like an ad. Is there's not one system that can handle multiple scenarios? Arlo Pro 3 is the best Home security camera, yet the Nest IQ indoor is best for indoor and Nest IQ Outdoor is best for outdoor. WTF? What is the best pick?
I agree. If only it were that easy. It really depends on what type of monitoring you are looking for. Each person is different. Truthfully, the more I learn about each type of system, the more confused I become. I'm totally frustrated and don't know which one I should choose.
Great videos and very informative... but I am overwhelmed by the number of cameras to choose from...nothing on your part. It seems similar to testing all these perfumes and eventually you lose your sense of smell. Thank you for an amazing video
I would LOVE to invest in nest, but it would be a 2k to 3k investment. The cost of Nest is simply insane. Probably the best bet is Ring alarm with arlo. I have 5 wyze cameras, but there is not battery option, which I am in need of currently.
I think wyze would be pretty good, nest is just really expensive and also has a subscription. Nest looks really good but its just too expensive (i dont have either cuz i just have 1 room)

Great video! We are travelling and staying in different places. Which camera is best so that we will still have access to recordings no matter where we are in the world? Does it matter? We need to be able to pack and bring it with us to each new country and location.
All of the cameras I review have apps for remote viewing, but if you're going to be packing and unpacking it, I'd go with any of these wireless options- bit.ly/2OVjEzW
Arlo has proven to have the worse products ever. Including their tech support. I had to get my arlos exchanged 3 times. I ended up getting a refund in the end.
Yes, there was an issue with that earlier this year as I detailed in my Ring Alarm review: bit.ly/2NKQjUK (company history section). However, most users just changed their passwords and added two-factor authentication and were fine. Ring claims it wasn't their fault but that of a third party company. Still very creepy though!
Yes, mainly because it's only available if you have the Vivint security system which is pretty limiting...all the cameras on this list can work independently of a larger security system. For more info, see the written version: bit.ly/2CGADxs
Security Baron your reply makes absolutely zero sense. Please do the needful and add a reply, or even a new video explaining why you recommend one product then neglect to include it regardless of whatever reason. Let’s be honest, Vivint cameras do not actually work unless you are using their security system. I would think that your subscription and/or like count would depend on you giving an honest review of products. If you cannot commit to this why is your channel/feed any different than the plethora of bogus reviews on RUclips, Amazon, Twitter, etc.?
@@KOTULCN I don't see what makes no sense about my reply. This is a video for people looking for a security camera who probably don't already have a system, and only Vivint customers can get their outdoor camera so I didn't want to include it. However, their outdoor camera is really impressive and I say that in my individual review. I think we are in agreement about why I didn't include it in this list- because, like you said, they only work with their security system.
Arlo suck. There arlo smart hub doesn’t even have usb to connect a hard drive to store video or they didn’t even add a sd card on there cameras to record in case you have down internet or power outages. But they are forcing you to pay for their full service. And if u don’t pay u get half of a red Brick device. Scammer. And it doesn’t even have WiFi. It need to be connected to the router. If U have a large house and your camera is in the front yard door. And the other is in your back yard door. And your router and hub is in your work office room about 100 yard away. How much lag is there. You can’t put the hub in the middle of the room. So each camera can have a good signal without delays That is a life or Death situation. It takes a second for some1 to break into your house or steal something. Before u even get the Notification.
Hi Gabe! Love your videos! Have a question about subscriptions. Say you pay for the 5 day Nest video history. Which would be fine with me. I have no reason to keep it. But then say you’re robbed & you want the video for evidence. I’m sure you’d know right away you were robbed, so you’d go back and access it right away and then is there a way to download the necessary footage you need to your own computer within the 5 day time frame? My guess is that footage is also constantly overwriting whatever footage was 6 days ago? Thanks!
Nest actually changed its cloud storage prices/ lengths since this video, but yes, you would need to download it within the length of your storage so that you would have it. Otherwise, it'll get rewritten. Here is a review of the Nest Cam IQ Indoor with the new storage information: bit.ly/2ED0giH
How does Ring stick up camera rate regarding zooming and the distance of recording with clarity. I have a Ring door bell the company claims can record up to 30 feet. You can have a camera w/o Wifi, you just won't be able to livestream footage from it or receive notifications. Check out the Reolink Argus 2 (indoor/ outdoor): bit.ly/2SttGqu
Security Dot Org thank you! I actually don’t have wifi! I have a mobile phone 📱 with unlimited internet. Can this work from my phone only?
LOL Nest camera outdoor sucks....video is crappy, and alerts are VERY spotty....so my cars were broken into last nite...the burglar was about 6 SIX minutes in front of the camera and no alerts went off....however a wasp or a bird flies in front of it and i get annoying alerts all day long...PASS
nest nest nest nest....gotta watch another video this is 90% about nest
tha's the nest camera
WHO HAS THE TIME TO SIT AROUND AND MONITOR SECURITY CAMERAS ALL DAY LONG. So great, you're staring at the monitor at 3am and you catch someone messing with your car. SO NOW WHAT? Are you willing to get up off your butt, grab your shotgun and go confront the criminal?
FUCK YEAAAAAA 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The nest are useless if you are not subscribed to nest aware. Otherwise its a powerhouse
nest camera 3 dollar a mouth was very cheap price

you should do these in the end of the year. these are in the first month of 2020. its should be 2019 tbh
Unless you're looking to buy one for 2020.... hence watching a review at the beginning of 2020.
Potato/Potato....
Shout out to everyone that had their neighbor invite themselves in before finding out they’re a thief.
I can't thank you enough for your reviews. I for sure have recommended you to friends and family.
Thank you so much! Be sure to check out my written reviews as well: bit.ly/2CGADxs
Agreed, Wyze is ridiculously affordable especially when compared to Nest. More info on each camera:

I been using Wyze for past 6 months and I love it. the amount of money u gonna spend on nest or ring u can buy 6 or 7 wyze camera.
I need a camera for outside my font door, however I don't think a doorbell camera will work because I live on a high traffic Street. Any suggestions?
please
Why Reolink is not on your list? I have a Reolink Argus 2, it is really good, Please do more test about it
I will look into it, thanks! In the meantime, here's the written version of this video: bit.ly/2CGADxs
Arlo has proven to have the worse products ever. Including their tech support. I had to get my arlos exchanged 3 times. I ended up getting a refund in the end.
Was ring the brand that gets hackers who watch your live stream?
Yes, there was an issue with that earlier this year as I detailed in my Ring Alarm review: bit.ly/2NKQjUK (company history section).
However, most users just changed their passwords and added two-factor authentication and were fine. Ring claims it wasn't their fault but that of a third party company. Still very creepy though!

Are we allowed/able to mix cameras into an existing SimpliSafe system?
Interesting that the Vivint Outdoor Pro camera didn’t make this list after your review. Can you expand on why it didn’t?
So each camera can have a good signal without delays
That is a life or Death situation. It takes a second for some1 to break into your house or steal something. Before u even get the Notification.
Arlo pro is crap wont last a week
Elaborate
FYI don’t get the ring camera they charge you monthly for recordings after you bought hundred of dollar worth of camera
I love what you are doing keep going
Thanks so much! Be sure to check out my written reviews as well- bit.ly/2CGADxs
could you please explain the weak points of these cameras in case of jammer distortion?
i have quality and cheap HD cameras,am responsible for delivery to your location,pl add my WhatsApp to +8613953710319
How does Ring stick up camera rate regarding zooming and the distance of recording with clarity. I have a Ring door bell the company claims can record up to 30 feet. But the ability to zoom in on an image and read text, license plate etc, could it be done a 20 feet. Add these testing feature consideration to your reviews.
Hi Doc,
My individual camera reviews all mention zoom. The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery doesn't zoom at all, unfortunately. More info on it in my full written review: bit.ly/2ozKqkM
@@SecurityDotOrg I have a Ring camera and it zooms. Do you mean after the video is taken, you can zoom it in while in playback? If that's what you mean, yes, it zooms. I don't know if mine is a stick up. It stand up or can be mounted with screws.
gape you are nice person introduce nice camera for us but i am not intresting to buy
I want to know what is the best indoor/outdoor security camera for my apartment and how to put the camera outside my window if I live on 2nd or third floor of my building?
We ranked the Ring Camera as our top pick, but take a look at our comparison to make sure you're getting all the features you want. www.security.org/security-cameras/best/
bro i have some question
