- (30-4-23) Was a busy day at the Nordschleife. After the whole track was closed for 2 hours it finally opened up again. So I went for some laps. But unfortunately not a pb attempt. But it was still fun to ride and learn more about the track!
SIDE NOTE: (The laptimer is that people can see that my video is NOT fast forwarded. Not for speed time recording*)
Will be back soon!
Bike: Yamaha R1 2021
Exhaust: Full Akrapovic evolution line
Brakes: Brembo M4 brake calipers with RCS19 Brake pump.

210 and casually putting a timer on. Incredible driving man.
ok
It's actually easier than doing at 30kph. Motorcycles the faster they go, the more stable they are. Unless you hit something in front of you, over 200kph is almost impossible to crash out of a Motorcycle, it's incredibly stiff at those speed due to huge giroscopic effect.
to slow to realize he is recording and timing it is redundant.
the timing isnt for him lol. He clearly states in the description that its to show he isn't speeding up the video@@Vova3iLvova
oh, i see. but taking a hand off the bike mid corner going 200 to prove to strangers on the internet you arent speeding up the video is weird
The shots taken by the photographs look sick as hell
Maybe i'm overexaggerating but i think i'll tear up a bit if I ever have a photo like that lmao. Ripping past people on a track on a CBR is my dream, hopefully not long off, now.
Sick no one throw up? Please explain
They swallowed it again. @@NHEFF09

This is insane, I’ve never seen a bike actually getting it on the ring so this is sick👏👏👏
Search Andy Carlisle. He does the ring in 7:10.
Check out Misha Charouden. On his channel a guy, said to be the best in the world on a bike, on this track, runs the course. If hes actually that good, i dont know. Worth a look though.
@@Hammerback0 Misha drives cars not bikes on the ring..And no he is not best in the world.. LMAO
@@Hammerback0he doesn’t even ride 😂
Those R1 ‘ s sound so cool . Fantastic riding !
I have the MT-10 and am addicted to the sound
Well done, enough safety margin by still being superfast 👌
The only risk I personally would not have taken was the overtake in Adenau at 3:00 because it's a difficult turn with no visibility especially for car drivers who are not expert, I don't know how was your impression on the bike.
But of course it's just my humble opinion, everything was properly done!
He moved over giving way
I def agree, I wouldn't have taken many of the overtakes anyway cause I'm not nearly as skilled. However that one was pretty risky either way!
agreed
You could install a small audio recorder or microphone above the rear tyre to limit wind noises, this would also place the microphone near the exhaust giving it a crisp sound. Note though, to set a small gain to avoid audio clipping because of the loud exhaust. Also direct the microphone towards the general direction of the exhaust. The audio can later be synced to the footage in post when either engaging first gear or by weirdly clapping your hands in public
Or just behind the wind screen, that would mean more sound from the intake as well.
I have not tried it, maybe there is too much wind there.
In my Superseven I usually use an external mic on the GoPro and put the mic in the passenger seat, no wind and a lot of engine sound.
@@alexbergsland The windscreen could be too noisy, but this highly depends on the windscreen and how airtight it is. I mean, even helmets are very noisy and our ears are far less sensible than most microphones. But I guess, it's often a hit-or-miss situation. Therefore the best thing you can do is to try things out
Agreed!
@@yourDecisi0n
Best place for a mic is in the cargo compartment.
@@future62 No, not really. This will dampen the sound, which therefore has a negative effect on the sound quality. Sound is best recorded directly into the microphone. So, even the direction of the microphone and distance to the sound source (not too far away, but also not too close to it) make a big enough difference to consider. The microphone should be place a few centimeters away from the source, even sometimes a bit further, because microphones are indeed very sensitive. It should be directed at the source and best be openly place. Furthermore, the microphone should have a furry microphone cover, in case there is still some wind picked up by the microphone. Normally, because the exhaust on bikes is so loud, some of the tips can be vaguely followed as the sound pickup is enough in many other places as well. So, the best thing is to try stuff out and see what works best for you. I would still advice against putting the microphone into the cargo compartment
This got me weaving left and right on my chair 😂😂😂😂😂
LOVE IT!
I was doing that too LOL
These camera settings make the video soo lively and entertaining to watch😮💨💫😭💯💯💯
Big balls, big deathwish, big skill. Mad respect 🙏🏻
Deathwish would be doing this on public roads, its a closed circuit with traffic rules lol
Motorcycle deaths on the nordschleife are about as common as on public roads. Probably less than some spots around the track, the Eifel is a small motorcycle paradise after all.
dude ur fucking fast great driving skills
the photos were amazing. i will have one for my desktop wallpaper . 😍
crazy skills and motorbike man, much respect. Ride and be safe 😌
Crazy fast, but safe. Kudos.
Incredibly impressive. I would be far too scared to ride this fast through traffic even if I had the skill. I've seen many ring videos where drivers don't even see large cars preparing to overtake let alone a motorcycle that has incredible acceleration capabilities.
this is the first time I've watched a bike go around here, this is f*cking amazing
You should watch the bike record vid. It's nutty. OP had a nice spirited ride with some margin for error and even that takes massive balls on this track, but the 7:10 vid is full send.
Love the start ‘check the timer’ that’s what I’m like on my bike. All these car drivers in their so called fast machines accelerating with their heads pinned back into their chair and I’m already at 200km/hr when they’ve barely reached 120km/hr. I adjust phone to start timer) casually accelerate on. Bikes are a hole different universe 😂
One of the best videos on RUclips of this track. Love everything about it!
Goated😊
What a ride!!! Wow
@2:12 your speedometer reads 270 km/h, respect.
Bike can go over 299 easy.
@@collegestudent6071no it cant
@slimfit767 yes it can.
Not the best day to go fast. It's like every is driving to the supermarket. Great video and R1= missile.
I imagine they are flooring it but the R1 is just making them all look like grandmas
Mental man, jesus, love the sound of the crossplane engines ❤
Phew! that is some seriously committed riding. It must take a while to get confident that either the cars you're catching have seen you, or at least aren't going to make any sudden direction changes, all while remembering which way the track is going next.
Stay safe, and keep the rubber side down
He establishes a relationship with each driver before passing them. Its a very sibtle thjng but you can tell if a driver is aware of you in a split second just bt the body language of their car and their head movements. The cars are signaling him to pass and even when they font signal their is a quick acknowledgement 🤙
Wild! So skilled.
damn, that phone mount right there, that's the definition of trust! 😂
Good ride. Keeping a margin means you're alive to do it again 😎
i love your style of ride. this video shows me what a pleasure is to ride a bike on nordschleife. thanks man
My man is mad💀 damn good riding bro
I can tell by your cautious overtaking that you are used to riding a lot on the streets. Always watching for cagers! Even on a racetrack :^)
Slicing through those cagers like they're not moving. Bikes are awesome! 👍
Those curbs are huge!
always keep riding safe mate! Sick lap!
bike color scheme is very nice.. thumbs up great riding
Geiles Stoppie Foto. So brems ich die Kurve auch immer an :)))
Amazing riding/video !
This is such a beautiful bike and nice paint.
Great lap footage--thank you!
Cracking effort sir. Definitely not shy.
Absolutely amazing riding. The Misha of bikes 😊
Nice ride 👊 Pretty crowded lap indeed. Got the feeling you were not already at a 100% in means of speed, looked really controlled.
Funny to see it from this view, but most cars are so freakin slow. You really need a expensive ride to be a little competitive compared to motorcycles. Even a production (relatively heavy weighted, bad suspension and lower power) 600 can compete with lots of 'sportive' cars. You can buy a pretty competitive bike second hand for just a few thousand euros.
But in turn bikes are much much more difficult to be fast, so it evens out. Theres also a bigger fear-factor with bikes, that is if you want to live atleast
@@RealPyro88 Yeah, you're right, the risk is much higher, especially in traffic like here
I love the helmet POV. If I tilt my head to keep level it almost puts me on that seat.
You just got a new subscriber that is some great riding!
very good drive !!!! i love the R1
When everyone else on the track is a back-marker
Fantastic lap 👍
One of the best nurburgring videos here very impressive.
Well done!!😵💫😵💫💪👍
I see ...it´s not your first tie around there ^^greeeat snapshots...awesome!
Greetings from Florida. Sick ride stay safe.
I so wish either Hickman, Dunlop or Harrison would try this.
You drove safe around those very slow 4 wheel objects!
Btw, the Yamaha wheelies to easy!
Clean riding 👌🏼
crazy control very nice
Good riding, great Nurburgring etiquette.
Legendary!!!
You can definitely ride a motorcycle 🏍️,, great stay safe ☺️, really enjoyed the video ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Nice riding mate.
Great riding bud
Truly impressive riding. That second pic of the stoppie with the leg dangle was awesome.
Genial!!
It will be a cool to see a tyre model in description ))))
Impressive. Great job.
bro has too much trust in his bike ahahahha. Amazing!
Great video!
That CP4 engine sounds great but I am a little biased as I have an MT10! He can ride a bit, this lad, but that R1 is superb.
i dont understand why people take regular cars to race tracks just to pay to go 30kmh faster than they do on the road
To people with minimal skill, the +30 makes them feel like they are skydiving from an airplane
Maybe it’s because you watching a SUPER bike fly by that KNOWS the track ?these “regular cars” don’t know the track 🤦🏽
@@calelindecke7145 even when they get to know the track, it's a shitbox that can barely go twice the highway speed limit, has no acceleration and no cornering ability. I've seen people take station wagons and Mercedes with the travel bag on the roof. People take garbage cars to the track to go slower than most people do on the highway.
And it ain't a Superbike. Superbikes are the ones used in things like motogp or bikes so overpowered that they are too difficult to make street legal. The r1 is a "Supersport" (which is a fancy way of saying sport bike) bike that anyone with the correct bike license can buy with less than 20k and it's perfectly street legal. The r1 is also prob one of the most underpowered 1000cc sport bikes there are
@@therussianbias3703 What are you on about 😂 A GP bike is a complete prototype, not a superbike. And an R1 is absolutely a superbike, just because the street variant is 40bhp down on the WSBK spec bikes, doesn't make it any less of a superbike.
A supersport is a 600.
Nice mirrors... ;-)
I know they say the green hell is a car track, but damm I hope I can get around there on a bike one day. Nice ride mate!
Excellent riding! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Who knew biking on the Nurburgring would be so interesting 👍👍
Those cross plane crank R1s are the best sounding bikes, ever, period, full stop. Yes, even better than a V4R IMO.
insane
i couldn`t care less, but did you know that timers are actually not allowed on the Nordschleife. The created this rule to stop people from pushing their limits and causing crashes. I think dashcams are also illegal. But as i sad, i couldn`t care less.
Nice riding, looks like fun
Holy shit at 4:54 . when he passes the beamer i swear he is like half a tire from dirt and potentially going down !! holy sht
he such a good rider though i hope to hit a track day sometime
Did you speed on the last straight after the yellow? Because i wanted to see how fast the bike would be catching up and passing cars
Those were the days. Remember thrashing my ZX10 around like this. Never on a track tho 😉😂
Brilliant, going 120mph (caption, waiting for a safe place to overtake).
Awesome video ❤❤😊
Bloody Sunday drivers, are everywhere! 🏍🏍🏍
Very cool
Nice video editing and ride! I am trying to improve all that. :P
proof you don’t need to drag knee to go fast. was nice riding
Epic ride!!! Id love to ride the ring but on like a 400cc or something small to match my lack of skill
wow. Ich fahre seit 2020 (A-Schein) Motorrad, (Z300) aber ich könnte mir nur schwer vorstellen, so zu fahren. Respekt. Mir würde es schwer fallen. Da gehört schon was dazu.
this is sick
Awsome driving! I would never take my bike on a public session on the Nordschleife. That is something im too scard to do. Not scared about crashing myself but someone into me or oil spill... Stuff like that.
Your video looks kinda "hectic". Not your driving I'm just talking about the video. As if it was sped up. It isn't but that's the best I can describe it. Are you using stuff like fixed 30fps framerate and ND-filters for your gopro or just automatic mode and go? Because using automatic mode would also explain the hectic video.
I thought it looked sped up also.
These r1’s hate having the front wheel on the ground
Wow only wow u are fracking* fast
Good driver😊Well done 😁
driver you call person driving the car…..we are riding motorcycles, we are riders, not drivers….
@@moto-vlog2341 Yes You have right😁

dont wanna be the one to kill the fun but arent timers not allowed on the nordschleife?
De tandjes.. dat was niet je eerste keer 😂. Wat een foto ook op 7:52
i'm curious what mirrors do you have on ? i saw the same on an Aprilia RS660 and forgot to ask
