    For me, I literally see something different from reality when my BDD is bad. I know this because I 100% believe my weight has fluctuated, either gone up if BDD is bad or gone down if I'm having a good day, and when I weigh myself it's the exact same weight as always. I just look different...I see a different image in the mirror when the BDD is messing with me.

    People with BDD, including myself, never really know how we "look like". It sometimes changes. And "mirror checking or mentally comparing looks to other people" are compulsions. Camoflaging is also safety behavior. Much like OCD.
