You seem to be arguing that men and women don’t have many natural differences in strength/ability in sports, and that hormone suppressants or similar may not have as much of an effect on this as it is commonly thought to?
This feels like an argument against trans inclusivity in sport rather than for :(
Can you explain further please, maybe because it’s just a clip something has been left out. Thanks

If sex differences are not as consequential as people think they are then that supports trans inclusion because it basically means that neither being AMAB nor having higher levels of testosterone inherently gives you an advantage in any sport. The argument transphobes use is that trans women should not be allowed in women’s sports because being assigned male at birth inherently gives them an advantage over cis women. The response being laid out here is a.) AMAB people in general, whether they transition or not, do not have a clear cut, across the board advantage in sports over AFAB people and b.) trans women who medically transition do not even have the advantages that cis men DO usually have in sports because their hormones make their bodies function in a way that is much more comparable to cis women (and sometimes their bodies present disadvantages compared to cis women, for example, having larger average bone mass than cis women, but similar average muscle mass)

      @@saggguy7hmm interesting..
I don’t know if I can agree with that, because being a biological male does give a clear advantage over biological females in every sport across the board except ultra-endurance races, and that’s not really disputable. The advantage of course varies, but at the elite level the difference is stark.
I think it’s clear that a trans woman taking suppressants is disadvantaged compared to men, but despite listening to the full podcast and reading into the sources, I don’t agree that there is nearly enough evidence that trans women don’t have advantage over cis women.
Trust me that I completely understand there are more than enough issues with trans inclusivity in our world already, but when considering the competitive integrity of sports competitions it feels difficult to justify with the current evidence.
