I still love the NBA but it's a very different league now. I'd take a slow, close grind-it-out game over 50 three-point attempts easily. Back then averaging 20ppg actually meant something.

@@btone310 Agree. 80s and 90s were more tense and more hardcore while 00s "scuffles" and "altercations" besides the Malace in the Palace were more entertaining. 80s/90s dude just swung on you with no reason or hesitation while 2000s, it wasn't as mercilus

This is why they all try to be 3 point shooters today. That constant physical pounding back then, would have serious consequences into days league. But hey, every generation has a right to play the game the way they see it. But man I absolutely luv this era of NBA and especially the old NFL!

This era was great. You had to earn points and if a player averaged over 25 ppg it was really remarkable. But because of casuals NBA changed the rules and wanted more easy points and almost no defense.

Basketball was so good before I’d tune it to watch all teams as an nba fan. I’d watch bucks vs pacers and it would be worth. The parity, the competition, the passion for the game. Best era for sure from say 2000-2006. Triple headers on NBC !!
