I hope the review helped out and your encouragement on the background is much appreciated. I've had a few viewers ask about a studio tour - I have a couple of projects left (which I think I'll share in videos) and then do a complete studio/gear tour. Thanks again for watching!
You did a nice job with the review. As you suggest, it's not the best or the worst in the $100+/- price range. There are, in my view, better choices including a couple of lower cost microphones. The $100 price point is very, very crowded which leads me to wonder why manufacturers would keep releasing mics that offer nothing new or innovative in that price range.
Much appreciated and I agree. Competition should drive innovation and there certainly are many competitors in the affordable audio gear segment. We are starting to see some innovation on the interface side, however microphones in the affordable range seem to have more work put into appearance vs standing out in audio performance - this is likely in response to the changing market imo. I'm not saying physical design in unimportant, but it is always enjoyable to come across a microphone where audio performance is far above expectations.
Very well done review and I love your background.

Are you sure the CO2 microphone does not add to global warming?
...and now I'm wondering if any of the microphone manufacturers promote their emissions processes...not that I've heard...hmm
Oh No, not the Samson mic again. Adding more carbon dioxide to the air.
Ah...that's great!...I included it just for you, lol. You would think Samson would have thought about that...
