It genuinely feels like a parody of an old Atari game that would appear in a cartoon. It’s like what an old business executive thinks a video game is. Which is honestly strangely fitting for a Simpsons game.

Let's remember the first episode of these series was also the first DD and Julian return episode that got uploaded to the channel, after a long time since we last saw them. And the first noise Julian makes after so many years was a Bart scream. What a time to be alive brothers.
I loved “The Critic” crossover Simpsons episode as a kid because I had literally no idea what it was at the time (so it didn’t feel cheap/sellout) and I found this sudden new character quite funny. 🤷♀️
Honestly I don’t know why I enjoyed this let’s play so much. Half of it is just them shooting the shit about the Simpson’s. I guess it’s just super relaxing
I feel it's like the same reason the Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon Red playthroughs are some of the best: it's a combo of the games having enough material to talk about while also having enough connections to other stuff to allow for them to reset the conversation, The Oneyplays crew (and most likely the audience as well) have a childhood connection to the games, meaning that they are able to "enjoy" the games enough to, despite their flaws, have a good time And the games aren't super intensive, meaning that the crew can focus on their comedy, while the parts that are intensive keep them mentally focused enough to keep their comedic senses sharp and keep coming up with new topics to talk about.
Subsequently, if anyone is brave enough to stomach all of L. Ron Hubbard's Battlefield Earth on audiobook, Nancy Cartwright, who does Bart's voice, plays a young boy in the full cast version. It's the highlight of the whole trek through whatever it is you'd call that supposed story and initially it's charming and then it's not.
You're telling me that the legacy of Bart, son of Simp, is a direct financial asset to one of the worst cults in America? Truly this world is a cruel and unjust place.
Fun fact: in the commercials Chucky Cheese's voice actor was the lead guy from bowling for soup they also did the theme song for Knights of the zodiac (English version of Saint Seiya).

DD has seemed more jolly since they came back to finish Pokemon Red and KH2, the end of those playthroughs have some of the loudest laughs I've ever heard from him.
I'd like to think DD and Jules would get along with Pat and Woolie. They all seem pretty easy to get along with and I'd watch some kind of collaborative effort.
