I so enjoyed this video. Because i have been looking for someone to give me ideas on building a sewing table that is low enough to comfortably sit and sew a quilt and not have my shoulders get sore and tired from the table being to high. I plan on using two end tables with wheels and plywood for the top. Because i do not have a lot of tools. Home depot will have to cut my wood to size as you have done. Thank you to you and your husband for making this a simple project.
Thank you for this very clear video. I need to measure and plan what size table I will be able to fit into my sewing/quilting/every other craft I do room. Everything is in boxes and I can't find anything so the storage will be fantastic. I'm in the UK so I will have to look around for supplies but getting excited!
Great idea! Hint: the more tacks affixed to the ((even) cardboard backing), the STRONGER the entire cupboard will be and the more weight it can hold. When I make cupboards, dressers, filing cabinets I make sure the backing is "exactly placed," that gives the product "alignment (also providing strength)," then ensure that I place tacks, depending on the unit, up to an inch apart. Besides adding strength, when moved, they don't break apart--and, if moving to another home, will survive the move in good condition.
Thank you for sharing your table design. I've been searching for a functional craft table that moves easily. I can see myself using this table top to cut fabric and work on other projects. Thank you again P.S your husband a great job. Ruby
You just showed up randomly on my feed for your witches hat and I ended up here! On thank you for showing us your amazing craft room :-) you seem like such a sweetheart exclamation I wish we were Neighbors!
I bought 2 bookcases from Home Depot and two shelves from Closet maid at 5 ft. Going to glue the two shelves together and put in top of the bookcases. 18 storage holes and I am so happy to have an actual work table finally.
ha, we could have easily just bought one already made but i would have paid more and i wanted a specific size and design. I love my table .. thank you for commenting!
i had to go measure it..lol anyhow the table is 35 1/2 inches tall from floor to top of table. i'm 5' 3'' and it's a very comfortable height for me but 36 inches which is a standard height would work as well. i hope this was helpful and thank you for your question. :)
@@Tricia.C.Flores it was! Thank you! I'm so glad I came across your channel. I have made a couple of your creations with what I had, and they came out great! I still can't do the bows yet, but I'll keep trying. If I get into crafts more I just may have to make a table like yours! And congrats on being a grandma! My grandson will never know just how much he saved from such a dark dark place. Enjoy it! It's so much fun!!
The best breakdown on measurements and cost. Thanks so much!!!
Very nice, one of the best craft table video by far !
