Beautiful video & thank you both! As a child in Catholic school with Mass every day in 1960's we veiled. After the NO Mass I so missed wearing my black or white veil. Fast forward to about 6 years ago I though fearful of creating attention to myself, began wearing a veil. I don't remember being taught why we wore it but just that when in the presence of Jesus we should cover our heads...and I loved Jesus so much and somehow knew it was the best I could do to receive Him in the Eucharist in Adoration & gentle humility because He was my Lord & King! Today I also wear it bec in my heart I recognize my sinfulness, weaknes, and faults so choose a black veil which seems appropriate. When being in the presence of God's Bidy, Blood, Soul, & Divinity! But also bec ot gives me a bit of privacy when tears of joy, gratitude, & awe, for Jesus start to fall.
Fantastic show; Peter is a breath of fresh air. I just bought his newest book and truly look forward to it. Great Job John Henry! Peace and Grace of Christ
This is an absolutely wonderful conversation about the beauty and reverence inspiring Latin Mass I have fallen in love with over the past year and a half. Nothing is more awesome and God inspiring than this Mass to me. This is where I died to the world and have no plans of returning to it! Que viva Cristo Rey! ❤
So excellent!!! Thank you, John Henry! Facing East - the priest is leading the charge, leading us all, ready, facing Our Lord when He returns!!! This is why our bodies are buried facing East in Catholic Cemeteries - when Jesus returns we will rise & be facing Him! Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Eucharist!!!
Dr. Peter Kwasniewski, thank you. When you're 81 like me and have been raised in the Latin Mass Tradition you are truly blessed and that's what I believe I am, truly blessed. God bless and many prayers. 🙏🙏🙏 From England.
Sad day when the Vail went because so did modesty. Women stopped dressing up and behaving like the beautiful example of feminity they were meant to be. I loved how beautiful my mom looked in church.😊
How can the same priest believe that communion on the tongue is the proper way to receive but then plop Jesus in people's hands at the very next Mass? You're right, nothing has changed since the "eucharistic revival."
@elizabethv_royalsfan doesn't negate the fact that the priest is believing one thing and doing another. The problem is with the priest who is not shepherding his flock.
The priest in the N.O may be facing the people, but he has his back to the Lord who is in the tabernacle! That's assuming that the tabernacle is where it should be, front and centre of the church.
The focus on the priest and his personality is boring and utterly offputting. I'm so tired of the growing theatrics and the running commentaries even during the consecration. Come Holy Spirit. Please enlighten our priests.
If you have perfectly straight hair, veils don't stay on! I tried when one of our children was confirmed at a TLM Confirmation in 2014. Barring some type of glue, nothing works. So, there are very real reasons that some women do not wear veils or most other head coverings.
The Latin Mass has limited appeal. Approximately 0.4% of practicing Catholics in the United States attend a Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) in any given week. An estimated 100,000 faithful attend the Latin Mass every week in the U.S., a small fraction of the total Catholic population.
You ignore the obvious widespread ban on, or ghettoing of TLM. Without this illegal ban, TLM would attract.up.to a third of Catholics including 70% of under-50s, and bring millions of lapsed back to the Church abd many converts. The old boomers.have gone quite mad.
@@patrickmelling8404 You make a very logical and sound argument - well-reasoned! You know, a smart person will change their view if meaningful, factual, new information contradicts their belief. An indoctrinated person lacks this ability. They are conditioned to dismiss facts.
I have some different thoughts.... The length of Latin Mass is too much for small kids and they should be separate and being taught what is going on in the Mass and be able to get up and jump around. Kids aren't small adults and don't need to learn to sit still for long periods of time. In the Bible, there's not even mention of small kids being at same worship as the men and women. Also, through human means we really can't go backwards anymore to what use to be. Theology has changed to the negative and that needs to be corrected . I believe that can only happen by the Hand of GOD and through the Three Days of Darkness. Also, whatever happened to the doily like head coverings that I remember from my older childhood days ?
We have a parish full of young families. Lots of kids, some fidgeting, kids being taken out for a minute of 2. It can get a bit noisy if you are seated by a family. We have families of 4, 6 and 9 kids, the kids overall are great. That old saying "if the church ain't crying it is dying". 60% of the women wear head coverings, more so the younger that the older adults - strange
@@billschrader5139 Yeah, right... Take kids out and crab at them for being human children... That's not going to help their long term view of church and ultimately , Jesus Christ. I was a kid back in the time ago and it was a living hell trying to sit still during high Mass when I had very little clue what was going on. Then I was crabbed at for squirming and yelled at in the car on the way home. My view of GOD was that He was mean and always angry at me.😢 Sorry but that doesn't work.
Not so. Our Long TLM is full of kids, the boys join as altar servers and the girls come and join choir. It's really, fine where there is a lot of action and music at Sung Mass. For very young babies, they can be taken outside to calm down. There's a loudspeaker conveying the Mass from the priests mic.
I love the veil, I feel is a sign of reverence and respect.
I love the lace and smells and bells! It's transcendent, so beautiful, sublime......

"The most beautiful thing this side of Heaven "...Bishop Sheen
Appreciation and blessings from Sydney Australia .
We face with the Priest towards Jesus cause the Priest is offering up all our prayers and all our offerings to Him.
So much great information. Thank you.
Mass is about God himself. Clapping should not be done either.
Great interview gentleman! 👍👍 I love the TLM! ✝️❤️🔥🙏
Give God the best we can. We can never give Him enough.
What we give comes from Him in the first place
Loved this video. Thank you!
Viva Cristo Rey!
We are there to honor Jesus Christ so we face the alter, it is not about us.
Altar.

Just like Adam's wife they have to do the protesting somehow, pick and choose what of the tradition suits them in a church.....
When we sit, we have our Back to the those behind us.
Happy Thanksgiving John Henry! God bless you always ❤️✝️🛐
I wear my Veil always ,I feel closer to Mass and have my head covered as Respect Our Lord Jesus Christ
The Biblical language makes us humble. Once, it was abandoned, people became proud.
31:20 💯💯💯
‘Alb’, gentlemen, ‘alb’. Also, I served Mass in the 1950’s, and we never did the ‘solita oscula’.

Easy: don't go to the novus ordo, go to the Latin Mass if you have access

Fake & GAY, just like Francis.

No one should turn their back on Jesus, I wish my church practice such reverence.
