Thank you for awesome series. I have a question/request: How to texture map surfaces like Curved roads etc? Custom mapping is there but it is bit too messy for inexperienced user like me...

So helpful, matching brick sizes up on different objects was driving me mad until I found this video. Thank you 🙏

Hi, great explanation. I have been trying to use V-Ray/Enscape materials, however they do not seem to appear in the textures dialog to be able to adjust scale etc. They can be adjust under the mapping tab as you showed in the video, however this tab is not available when trying to adjust the mapping settings to an individual surface of an object. For example, if I had a wall of an house, how can I show the external face as brick and the internal as painted without having to explode the wall. Any ideas?

Do surface on outside and then another surface on the inside. Then you can apply two different materials because you have to different objects. Also I know its late and you probably figured out something. Share

Oh man, you’re a wizard at this. Can I run something by you to make sure I’m not messing up my project / I’m not doing it in a way that’s giving me 10x the work it ought to?

Hello Justin, your work is really great and I love it. I need your help though. I use Rhino to create my designs and save as an obj or 3ds file. But when I open these files on Blender to add materials, the objects only emit the colour of the material applied but not the details/print of the material (e.g printed fabrics or wooden materials). What do I do?

How do you adjust the texture mapping on one face of the object only? I have a corrugated sheet roof and the lines need to run in different directions according to their slope.

Explode the object, separately texture the sides you want textured, then regroup the parts as a single object group again. Cheers.

ok figured it out, you have to make sure "WCS/OCS box style" is checked and the option for size will appear!

rhino has the most absurdly complicated texturing system for no reason. Revit is so much better at this
