Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about anything we talked about in this video, or if there's anything you struggle with in Rhino in the comments below! :)
Hey, in this video the Oswald tool seem like a very important tool in rhino, but my rhino it’s not working and I try to solve it by researching online but nothing seems working 😢
@@nourallah4356 same my rhino doesnt have a push pull is there any other way to approach this eg. we can extrude but to cave the shape is there any way ?
thanks for the video. i find your delivery very easy to understand and follow. I would like to see a video on editing an already modelled file. I receive architects files and take parts from them or edit them. creating new parts is one thing but being able to edit something that someone else has handed you is another. thanks again
Thank you so much for making these videos! I really needed some good intro classes to Rhino and the way you present the information makes it very easy for me to learn in a process that makes sense to me.
Thank you so much for those videos! Your tutorials have been a huge help for me to get into rhino 😄 they are a great pace, clear and easy to understand
Hi! great video - only thing, how do you make it draw on the surface of the box, and make it snap to the sides/corner, when u have the face selected 19:50 - I can't seem to do the same, mine doesn't snap or draw inside of the marked face? :)
Hi Justin. I'm new to Rhino and your tutorials are really great!! However, i can't get OSnap to work... It's toggled on, but no dots appear on any other object where i can snap my line to... Is there any setting i need to adjust?
Justin - I don't seem to have the same command line functions that you are frequently referring to (clicking on letters or words in the command line to initiate a command). There are not "active" features. Is there a setting that I need to adjust?
Thank you a lot ! I just have problem with the last part, when I try to draw the curve, it "sticks" to the X and Y plan, I can't draw it on the face of an object, do you have a solution?
@@SN00NS @clementgaillard288 Goto your Osnap checkboxes and unselect "Project". If you notice at the bottom left panel where on his screen it says "Selection Filters", there is another tab thats really small to the left of it that will show you the toggles for snapping, and there you will find "Project" with a host of other snap settings (Point, Curves, ect). Hope this helps.
Ah, the "planar" option toggled on in the footer plus starting the arc on the cornerpoint of my object in the correct plane in front view did it for me!
Thank you for the helpful tutorial! I have a problem with selecting the subpart of a solid object. Control - Shift doesn't work :/ (14:14) Is it a command i can type in?
hi tnx for the vid u help a lot, what if i want to put on the surface more complicated shape i have drwan on the top view on the side how do i put it on the surface an push pull

when you use control+shift your faces light up with arrows and then you can select it. I can still select my face with control+shift however i dont see the highlighted arrows. Is there something i can turn on for that?
By highlighted arrows do you mean the blue red and green arrows? If so it might be that the gumball setting is turned off in yours. you will find it in the bottom bar, it should be bold to be on
sigh. smh. i'm a month into my class. and YOU just taught me how to do my assignment that's due tomorrow. smh. so much time has been wasted with me looking for videos online to show me how to use this program to create a specific shape. using the loft tool. and trying to figure out how to manipulate stuff. cause the ONLY tool she did show was the loft tool. and seeing this, there were so many better tools to use. that would have actually gotten me to the result of the pencil drawing that i had to create on this program. which i've been struggling BECAUSE SHE HASN'T TAUGHT THE PROGRAM. just DO IT. like this is nike and we're supposed to figure out a program by osmosis.
Hey , do you have laptop recommendations for students studying industrial design? and I want a good laptop with good processing power as I am studying industrial design in university
i think lenovo legion is best bro, however im currently working on a rog strix with gtx graphics card and 16 gb ram for my architectural degree and it has worked fine uptill now, its just that with a gtx you will have to be more patient.
Why would you leave this comment multiple times? I like learning the functions of 3D modeling programs and teaching people how those work. If you're looking for someone showing off their portfolios online, I'm sure there are plenty of channels for that, and I hope you find one you like.

Where can you find the Extrude Curve Icon, or any other curve operations like that one, if you don't want to use the command line? thx a bunch

second this!

the fix is that you right-click osnap in the bottom bar > settings > uncheck "Project object snaps to CPlane"
Wondering if you think this is better than MOI3D?
4:31 I cant seem to get the guides to a point ? is there something I need to turn on ?
click on SmartTrack in the bottom bar, next to Gumball; that should activate it
I think i know how to get it, on tools menu select option than enable "project object snaps to cpanel in plan parallel views"
Excellent video, thanks
I know subD is used to edit or adjust creases but how do you take an existing shape and change it to a subD shape?
thank you very muuch that's so precious

Has this guy ever really made a model? I have seen many programs taught. But I didn't see any outstanding work.
