My son recently moved from V9's to Hyperlites. He loved his Vaughns, but he has reaaly fallen in love with what Bauer is offering. They may not be the stiffest in the world compared to what you use, but they are way stiffer than the Vaughns. What you are saying is so true and makes so much sense.

I would say, for the V10 Vaughn has adjusted for the better!

I went from the hyperlite pads to the Mach and really like the 5hole coverage it’s noticeable

I have cut 5 hole goals down more then 3/4 from moving from vaughns v9/slr2 carbon into hyperlite's and now true 20.2
I just sized down a bit (1.5" rise on the trues) and I dont notice how stiff they are when moving etc. They are actually the best and most comfortable pads I have worn :p

I generally use a soft pad, like vaughn velocity. The only hard pad I've used and liked was the Brians gentik X. Looking forward to your review of the V10 when it comes.

Ditto on the stiffness comments. Moved to a True 12.2 and those are incredibly stiff. The thigh rise basically doesn’t flex at all. It has helped a lot on saves that hit the thigh rise. Moved from warrior g4 pads and these are better.

I had that issue on my v9s. I was very disappointed with my v9 product. I preferred my v7s over the v9s.

I had a thigh rise fail with my Warrior G5's last night. Hard slapshot from the point flexed the thigh rise and squeaked in :(

Yeah G5s got stiffer, but still weren't stiff enough. My G6 vs G5 videos show a big difference in them.

I know this isn’t Vaughn related, but what sizes does the Bauer ultrasonic 2x pro come in

I don't know why your SLR3s have a weak thigh rise. I have a custom order as you did, and they are as stiff as the True px3. You must have not have order no break. Check you order before telling people that custom orders have a weak thigh rise. Definitely confirm yours are not ordered stiff Before putting out these vids. You are correct the stock version is soft, but any good goalie retailer will explain that you would need custom orders. But your order must have been messed up.

Sorry but did you actually watch and listen to anything in this video?
The whole point of the opening of the video was showing the difference between the stock pad they accidentally sent me and the stiffest pad I could get.
With that said, even the stiffest SLR3 I could order isn't anywhere as stiff as my PX3s.

I'm not a fan of how thin the thigh rise are . Rather buy older softer pads .
