  • Vaughn's newest gear is out - the SLR3 - and there are plenty of new developments in the popular line that we think you should be familiar with, especially if you are in the market to upgrade your gear. There are exciting changes for Vaughn in all three pieces - pads, glove and blocker - and we can't wait to get a set on the ice to see how well they perform!
Until then, check out all the big changes with Woody and Cam this week.
For more ideas or if you have any more questions, you can reach out to Cam at The Hockey Shop Goal Department at 1-800-567-7790

I have been waiting for these pads for a while. In warriors now, LOVE their professor strap, love the new graphic, more solid knee.

Got the glove/blocker set recently and find that the new palm material on the SLR3 blocker needs some love to get broken in, too.
Your 3rd and 4th fingers have a hard time gripping the stick out the of box.
I used the same method to break it in as I did the glove. Seemed to get it good enough to get on the ice with.
    Great video, guys.

I would order these pads but I wish the flex was stiffer they still seem a little soft.

You could definitely talk to Cam about custom options - can be made stiffer.

@@nolanhorvatits4535 Well you're not ordering through us...it's The Hockey Shop - what can be ordered outside Canada depends on the brand. I believe Vaughn can cross the border - but please call Cam - trust us, he's a friendly guy :) 1-800-567-7790

Are the size of the slr3s comparable to the slr2s? Heard some guys had to drop from a 35” to a 34” size when transitioning.

Really hot water works really well, too. About a minute or two on the outside, and a minute or two on the inside.
Uses the same principle; just make sure the inside of the glove cools a bit before you put your hand in there and start breaking it in.

We want to make sure you get the right size and are hesitant to give any advice on our own as we don't have a set in the InGoal offices -- really recommend contacting Cam and his crew at the Shop, and we promise they'll take care of making sure you get the exact size you need
