Once again Dr. Ivo Robotnik (yes, he doesn't give up!) transformed all the animals in the forest into mechanical robots, in an experienced plan to dominate the world. And the worst: Tails, Sonic's best friend, was imprisoned in a distant and scary place called Crystal Egg.
Sonic would never allow such evil. He immediately put on his magic shoes and ran off to free his friends. But this won't be easy: he will have to travel a long and treacherous path, which goes from heavy tunnels to icy lakes.
But this time Sonic is well equipped: he will fly on a hang glider, float in bubbles, do incredible loops and even hitch a ride on an ore cart! Everything is supersonic speed, through seven dangerous stages.
