I had to dismantle it, because the mechanism that regulates the tension in the thread it doesn't work as it should and I thought about fixing it. But I can't remove the narrow plastic piece to the right of the hook, and that's because the hook won't let me. Regardless of the position of the hook, the part cannot be removed (of course, after unscrewing all the screws). Can you help me with any advice ? Thank you very much !

Hello, i bought a rehomed Singer Tradition 2250 and it seems to have an issue itll go up and down every once in a while. I can move the handwheel to stitch but not use the peddle. I think it may be the washer. Ive gotten it to the point you have but I'm not sure where to go from here or what to look for.
When you say rehomed can it go back to the shop? or thats why it was sold privatley cos its broke?...take apart clean oil , rewind bobbin, change needle, this is all you need to do to maintain, if not working , google on you tube other ideas....if not working then repair man, it may be cheaper to buy new machine.

The belt needs changing if broken or slipping......the belt is around the inside of the fly wheel...the wheel we turn on the right...the whole body needs to be removed...
Clean your machine ,take apart the bobbin area, make sure no damage or cotton, change the bobbin and rewind, change needle. Oil a little on the joints, put back together and try....if this doesn't work then put in you tube browser machine not making stitch...hope this helps...

you cant unless you want to turn the handle all the time? look on line can buy new foot peddle cheap if you shop around
