When my son was 5 he caught a walleye fingerling at the local pond. He named him marky mark 🤘 and asked if we could put him in our tank with our community fish. I thought oh how cute. We dropped “marky mark” into our well established community tank. The next morning all my damn fish were missing and there lay the walleye at the bottom with a giant lump in his stomach. We brought mark back to the pond and released his voracious ass back to the wild where he belonged

A lot of people think of walleye as this super slow lazy fish that needs to be spoon fed a jig and a minnow, meanwhile they're a super predator just as voracious and apt to chase and follow baits like pike.
I've seen people troll at insanely fast speeds and still catch them consistantly, hell at low light periods I've seen walleye hit top water.
Give walleye more credit, they're an apex predator and usually the top predator of their ecosystem, they just do what any other top predator does and follow their food.
    Find elk - find wolves
    Find baitfish - find walleyes
