Up north muskie and pike are together all the time. I also have no doubt that they will eat each other if possible. Pike are cannibalistic so there's no reason to think they wouldn't eat a smaller muskie.
I had 3 Muskie about 20 years ago living in my pool with some painted turtles and some 9 inch blue gills. They got about 30” so I let them go back in the lake I got them from. They are fun to watch eat. I should make a pond out of pool again. Lol
I just love watching those fish, they navigate in the water like a bird navigates in the sky more specifically like a hummingbird how they zip around, it's really cool to watch
I so appreciate you commenting on how you like to scape your tanks towards natural habitats of what's in them. Drives me nuts how so many of these fish-tubers dont worry about that. In my humble opinion if we decide to keep any fish in our homes in tanks it's our responsibility to try our best to make the fish feel like they are living in a smaller version of home. Dosnt matter imo if the fish are tank raised or wild caught still should go out of our way to replicate natural habitats. Especially those of us who keep stingrays! Sand is so cheap compared to the comfort level it provides stingrays. I cant stand seeing fish kept in plain glass boxes basically, even in quarantine tanks. Especially when and if the keeper has more than enough means to provide it.
You and me both. I've scoured You-Tube and I can't beleeeve how many channels actually make a case for bare tanks and having no plants (fake or real) gravel or substrate in their tanks. I mean, these bare tanks lack personality, drama, and warmth. if you ask me, i think these bare tank aficionados are just plain lazy and don't want to deal with cleaning their tank.
Told ya that Musky would grow ridiculously fast! Awesome to see him getting a big upgrade! I've never been able to keep musky in a pond/tank that big. I kept 2 in a 220 gallon and I had to release them into a buddies private lake when they hit 20 inches. Awesome idea with the netting and cling on hooks.
I knew the Muskie would grow quick... But he's exceeding my expectations!! Having that extra space in the 125 caused him to explode! Can't imagine how big he will be in 6 weeks in this pool!
Trout r very very hard to keep in an aquarium they're very fragile plus they're a cold water fish so a chiller is a must I would like to see him give it a go tho
I have a 2000 gal pond in my backyard - I have had several varieties of wild caught freshwater fish stocked over the past 12 years. I installed two underwater video cameras and I get to watch all the activity from the comfort of my living room. I have found that the only way fish will thrive is if I catch them as fingerlings - adult fish seem to stress out and eventually perish. Very cool hobby - keep the videos coming.
😂😂 I was about to go to bed... And then finished editing this video... For another 6 hours! Appreciate you staying up to watch it! Hopefully you got some sleep after lol
Those Tiger Salamander Tadpoles will change if you slowly start to take the water out day by day. If they have water like that theyll stay in that stage most times and I think they might even be able to breed like that, not sure tho.
[wow, that's cool that pond you have so that pond is for keeping inside the house almost like a swimming pool I've got a 2 story house so I've got plenty of space to add more fish just like you did]
Awesome. Lot of dream fish for me. Had Northern. Steelhead. Alligator Gar. Chain Pickerel. Tiger Muski. Cats & pan fish. Have bow fin. Would love to have the Muski! Walleye & Stripers. Really cool man. Dig it.
I feel like the Wiper's are a big river current type fish so a recirculating waterfall style filter that can create a current for them would be best. Same for the Smallies
About 20 years ago I had a 55 gallon tank. I was 15 years old so of course I wanted killers so I had 2 Oscar’s, 3 red belly’s, and the ultimate freshwater killer that’s now illegal…the giant snakehead. Let me just say I came home one day and there was only one Oscar and two snakeheads left….they were the most vicious fish I have ever seen. Unfortunately they both jumped out the tank and died. The Oscar was left standing.
You just need to put the musky in the biggest pond right away. Moving it around and keeping it in smaller aquariums could slow its growth and stress it out more when you could have put it in the garage pond right away.
The filtration video would be super helpful! Planning to build the bass a pond in the next couple months. Like you have in the past with wood and a liner
Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the sheer badassness of this dude's super awesome setups !!!! Omg so glad I came across this channel just now ....yippie
Do a mixed Sunfish set up, I once had a 150 gallon tank that i scraped with wood ,rocks and live plants and stocked with 2 little bluegill, one green Sunfish, 2 Texas Banded Sunfish one Red Breast, and a Warmouth! I caught them all as wild fish except the Texas Bandeds which were a gift. They all actually got on together nicely with very little aggression even after they all grew larger( I'm thinking because they all grew up together except the Texans which were adults when I got them and even so the Bluegill were already the same size!) They all would school together kind of circling the tank making half circles and up -down variations, and sometimes when resting they would all just float suspended at varying depths about the same distance from each other, the Green Sunfish didnt school with the rest after it started getting bigger and had a log hollow that he hung out in coming out now and then and making rapid dashes to and fro for a dizzying moment and then back to his log, the Warmouth NEVER schooled with the rest preferring to hang out at a pile of rocks that had 2 big plants next them on each side in the back right hand corner and would come out now and then to make a slow cruise around the tank half heartedly chasing some of the others as if to say " that's right bitches run, I'm the baddest mofo in this tank!" Then back to his rocks. I also had a green Corydoras Cat, and some native snails that must have got in on one of the plants I snagged out of the creek for the tank, I had a very hard time controlling them as they multiplied faster then anything I've ever seen, so 4 times a year I would put All the fish in a kiddie pool, or the Bathtub a couple of times, remove ALL THE pebbles I used for substrate ,and took all the Rocks and wood out along with the plants and start over scrubbing the tank thoroughly baking the pebbles boiling the rocks, replacing the rocks and sticking to store bought plants, and then put everything back, and still the snails would somehow reappear!! In smaller quantities each time but I never could completely eradicate them. They were like the COCKROACHES of the fish tank!!!
I would love to see a tank set up for just panfish. Such as white and yellow perch, black crappie, sunfish, and maybe rock bass. Thanx. BTW..Cool channel.
Just a suggestion about your pool ponds... I used poly stock tanks. I bought my 1000 gallon tank at farm and fleet. I used to do the same thing but all it takes is one leak to decide a stronger more durable home for my babies was needed.
Awesome vid! I am glad u have been able to keep all yer tanks going! and LOL on Millie photobombing yer outro! It would also be cool to see if you could add more stuff to the garage pond to make it as semi-realistic as you make your other tanks! :D Keep the cool 'keeping content coming!
Great fish but can I make a couple suggestions? I think you should get some bells or better yet those little electric alarms that gets triggered if something touches it so the net on top of your musky pond if he should ever try and jump out you could be alerted if you are in the house. I really like the electric ones because they will beep up to every 10 seconds. Also did you ever think about getting the few different types of pumpkin seeds? Lots of nice coloring in many of them and they also will hybridize and you can come up with some fantastic looking fish. Some of them will do this in the wild also. One other thing, did you ever think about getting a northern pike? They are a lot more aggressive than muskies when it comes to stalking prey and they won't get nearly as large which can also be a neat thing. Your little pickerel I don't know if you knew this or not but there are many different species in North America and somewhere really cool looking. Anyway that's all I have! Great channel!
Great vid bro cant want see diy filter build video, I think some crappie would just complete the collection, like blue gill but can be as aggressive as bass
I live on the Susquehanna River in PA and the Smallies and Musky get big but the Smallies get crazy...seen them eat duck's before...not ducklings or full sized ducks but I'd say a yearling duck
You have pickerel and a musky, why not complete the set with a northern pike?
Musky and Pike eat each other in the wild. Its why you almost never find Muskie and Pike in the same body of water
taylor uh yeah it is true idk where you get your info
Up north muskie and pike are together all the time. I also have no doubt that they will eat each other if possible. Pike are cannibalistic so there's no reason to think they wouldn't eat a smaller muskie.
And they also breed making the Tiger Musky which is a sterile fish
Lake St Clair has both pike and musky
Muskie: must keep Muskie. Please keep updates like this going
Oh that Muskie is not going anywhere! Don't you worry!
I had 3 Muskie about 20 years ago living in my pool with some painted turtles and some 9 inch blue gills. They got about 30” so I let them go back in the lake I got them from. They are fun to watch eat. I should make a pond out of pool again. Lol
The r not called Muskie they are called pike😒
these are a type pike :)
I just love watching those fish, they navigate in the water like a bird navigates in the sky more specifically like a hummingbird how they zip around, it's really cool to watch

Watching native fish eat to dubstep music awesome
Native fish are Bad Ass! Imagine being a little fish with these dudes cruising around.
Told ya that Musky would grow ridiculously fast! Awesome to see him getting a big upgrade! I've never been able to keep musky in a pond/tank that big. Very nice!!! 👍👍
Incredible!
Those grass pickerel hit like a jet airplane
Yes on the bowfin care guide!
Comes the time when you’re like. Yeah I could put a baby pool inside of my living room.
You have gars and pygmy sunfish! That's awesome!
Bowfin are excellent fish to catch. Grt fight and fun.
Pike and perch set up 👌
HELLLLLL YEA bowfin spotlight... Great video as always...I also appreciate you stopping by bro it means a lot...
For sure buddy!! That snake video you post was wild!! If I wasn't following you... I would have never seen it!
Have you ever considered trout? I feel like that would be cool
Hell yeah!
Trout r very very hard to keep in an aquarium they're very fragile plus they're a cold water fish so a chiller is a must I would like to see him give it a go tho
Redside Dace (aka mini Trout) would probably be his best option tbh
trout are super hard to keep in a tank
Some rainbows and albino rainbows would be awesome
Killer dude, love the bowfin. The bowfin is the last known species from the Jurassic era. Old school!
Yes to care guide, and yes to care guide to all fish😍 “SC Fish Keeping!” Thank you!!
I have a 2000 gal pond in my backyard - I have had several varieties of wild caught freshwater fish stocked over the past 12 years. I got a Grass Pickerel from Jonah's Aquarium and it has quickly become one of my favorite fish. He eats like a Hog and is just Magnificent!
I think a green or rainbow darter set up would be cool. They don’t get big and don’t need a large tank
Should do perch. I think that would be absolutely awesome to see!
Definitely want to see those pool filter videos. Can't wait for all these upcoming videos!!!
I'll make sure to get that filter video out soon!
Love your collection bruh great job
You should do a micro native fish tank with some darters and Pygmy sunfish
I already have the Pygmy Sunfish! So I'm off to a good start!
Please do a bowfin care guide, I’ve been looking to get a couple
Will do for sure!
They are pretty cool .
Where can I get a bowfin or musky? I'm in Los Angeles
A video on the DIY Filtration System would be great! I am starting a pool pond (600 gallon) and would appreciate a video on that.😄
Deal!! I'll make it hear in the next few days!
Great content,thanks for sharing
Insane dude
RE: the sponge filter, try a powerhead. They might just want the water movement
Love your channel 🤘🤘
Duuuuude your mom is cool as sh1t allowing you to keep all them coooool fish with you in her basement! Respect!
😂😂 No way my mom would let me keep this at her house! I just married a cool wife!
Was about to go to bed, but i had to watch this.
😂😂 I was about to go to bed... And then finished editing this video... For another 6 hours! Appreciate you staying up to watch it! Hopefully you got some sleep after lol
Awesome video like always 😎👍🏻 maybe get some Yellow perch and rock bass lol
I haven't thought about Rock Bass much... Maybe I should? 🤔
SC Fish Keeping
Lol plus I don’t think anyone else on RUclips has them
Cant wait for the filter build
I'll be sure to get it out soon!
I think perch crappie would be a cool addition
Those Tiger Salamander Tadpoles will change if you slowly start to take the water out day by day. If they have water like that theyll stay in that stage most times and I think they might even be able to breed like that, not sure tho.
This is awesome

Great Channel ! Liked /Subscribed !
Black and White Crappie with nice drift wood to suspend on
Awesome. Lot of dream fish for me. Had Northern. Steelhead. Alligator Gar. Chain Pickerel. Tiger Muski. Cats & pan fish. Have bow fin.
Would love to have the Muski! Walleye & Stripers.
Really cool man. Dig it.
what an AWESOME FIsh and love your fish room!!! Great stuff
The voracity of those little grass pickerel and bowfin is INSANE
Right?!? Just think of how they're be full grown! 😳
Thanks for sharing, Enjoyed the video. Awesome ending :)
I think a black crappie would look great in your collection
I feel like the Wiper's are a big river current type fish so a recirculating waterfall style filter that can create a current for them would be best. Same for the Smallies
All of the small mouth I've caught have been in water that was moving rather swiftly
@@briantalbot1452 the few White Bass, Wipers, and Smallies that I have caught too have been in rivers
Darter setup would be lit
Man that's sick!! Man you should get a gaint snakeheads
What an awesome channel, subscribed!! Can’t wait to go watch more of your videos now😃
Nice.
About 20 years ago I had a 55 gallon tank. Bro that command strip is smart asf i used to same netting but i used zip ties
The filtration video would be super helpful! Planning to build the bass a pond in the next couple months. Like you have in the past with wood and a liner
Do it man!! I'll make the video, but let me know if I can help with the pond!
SC Fish Keeping will do! Thx man
Joey Slay Em had the same filtration system that he gave to Blake’s Exotic Animal Ranch
Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the sheer badassness of this dude's super awesome setups !!!! Omg so glad I came across this channel just now ....yippie
You should get a Chaca Bankanensis Catfish. They look freakin AWESOME!!!
Yep. Bowfin care guide. They're pretty awesome
Great video

Dude so cool love the whole freshwater aspect !
Finally a fish channel with some variety!
Appreciate that!!
Cool video man I just moved my Temensis bass
Maybe some kind of trout might be harder with colder water but brookies or lake trout would round out your native collection
I used to troll for muskies in the north channel lake St, Clair near harsons island. In Michigan
Wow housing all your fish must be soo expensive, nice set ups 👌
Yes one of my favorites of your fish. That muskie is a beast. Have you found out anything on the PIKE
I'm so pumped to see how big this Muskie will get in the pond!! Still working on the pike! Haven't forgetten!
Brilliant video keep it up
Appreciate you buddy!! Thanks for checking out the video!
@@SCFishKeeping np keep up the great work
Not native, but still waiting on the Rainbow Wolf Fish care guide video.
I would love to see a tank set up for just panfish. Such as white and yellow perch, black crappie, sunfish, and maybe rock bass. Thanx. BTW..Cool channel.
That smallmouth was going to nip those fingers lol I love their aggressiveness
Cool video as always man. Can't wait to see the gar
Soon! 😁
Amazing video! I love all these native fish you got !
You want something different? Get and Alaskan Black Fin. That's a rare fish that are pretty cool.
If you do a bluegill setup do pumpkinseeds. Crappie would be cool to
Just a suggestion about your pool ponds... I used poly stock tanks. I bought my 1000 gallon tank at farm and fleet. I used to do the same thing but all it takes is one leak to decide a stronger more durable home for my babies was needed.
Awesome yea flat head and crappie
I just found a Crappie spot! So I'll have to get some more!
You look like the fish preacher
Need to get some perch to add to your collection
Warmouths and Pumkinseed fish would be nice
I love bowfin. One of my favorite species to observe in the wild.
I loved this video. So gorgeous and fun.
Honestly , with that amazing aquarium room and breathtaking fish , HOW DO YOU HAVE LESS THAN 100K SUBS🤔
Thank you buddy! I appreciate that!! The 100k subs will come at some point!!
His channel will blow up soon
Great fish but can I make a couple suggestions? I think you should get some bells or better yet those little electric alarms that gets triggered if something touches it so the net on top of your musky pond if he should ever try and jump out you could be alerted if you are in the house. I havent seen or heard anyone talk about the Texas Banded Sunfish in forever, try that one!
My first pike/musky I caught was a tiger muskie
Great vid bro cant want see diy filter build video, I think some crappie would just complete the collection, like blue gill but can be as aggressive as bass
I live on the Susquehanna River in PA and the Smallies and Musky get big but the Smallies get crazy...seen them eat duck's before...not ducklings or full sized ducks but I'd say a yearling duck
You should keep a perch because I know u wanna use your small tanks because you said bluegill and sunfish, but I think a perch would go after minnows
You should try to get some warmouths I really want one but I haven't caught one in years lol
That's a good idea!! I actually know a guy that sells them!
I agree on the war mouths
I like warmouths, they're pretty and for some reason really common in Northern Virginia if you know where to look
SC Fish Keeping warmouths, rock bass, and green sunfish are really similar but all different. Aggressive and tons of personality
Can’t wait for that next video bro, looking forward to seeing all the gar
Just wait man .. one of my gar is something special!!
SC Fish Keeping I bet, awesome
Do a care Guide on largemouth bass
Yes please do a care guide for the bowfin
Deal!
Man that muskie got big quick!
Pair of rock bass
