I was going to suggest, if you have small predator fish like that, feeding them guppies from the pet store is really good too. Also, if you have a 5 gallon tank that you can use, they breed like rabbits, so you’ll have lots of live food. I’ve had so many species of fish, including Pike, Bass, sunfish, bluegill, gars, Piranhas, cichlids, you name it, I’ve probably had it…except a Walleye, which I’ve always wanted.

So quick update. All the first walleyes died of ick. I went back to beavers and took his remaining walleyes but they didn't fair well either. The temperature is a tricky thing. I have one in the tank still and he's thriving but if the temp if too low, bacteria and fungus can grow, to high and the walleye get sluggish. 76 degrees should be your aim.
COfishBRO thanks for the tip bro. I been debating on eyes perch or crappies.. not sure what route I will take yet but like you these are my favorite fish to target on the water too. Hopefully your last guy does good!
@@CatchingColorado Probably didnt cycle the tank properly, when you let your tank sit for that month should’ve done daily feeding so the food breaks down into ammonia so the nitrifing bacteria can consume the ammonia and turn it into something the fish can tolerate. But since the tank didn’t cycle adding those 9 walleyes cause a spike in the ammonia levels and that killed the fish
I want a walleye so bad, but I’m skeptical because I want freshwater sharks and a sucker fish. I just don’t know if it will eat them.

100 gallon I think. Could be 125
Water temp in the tank ? Is 70 farenheit ok ?
I keep it at 76-78. 70 is perfect temp for walleye but be careful of bacteria.

Walter's died. Two batches of them. Very hard to keep. Have Crappies and perch doing well though

They all died. I had a crappie and a perch for awhile. they died too. Native Fish keeping isn't for me I guess
