Live: Thai King's Royal Barge Procession around Bangkok泰国举行盛大皇家驳船游行

A spectacular display will mark the final event of a year-long series of coronation ceremonies for Thailand's new monarch, King Maha Vajiralongkorn. A synchronized procession of 52 ornately decorated royal barges will be propelled along Bangkok's Chao Phraya river by more than 2,000 oarsmen, accompanied by the sound of chanting and singing. Very much enjoyed watching this. The narration was excellent, and the narrator obviously knows a lot about Thailand! Excellent description, history, and background, unusual to find in any video about Thai royal events. He mentioned the use of the Chaophraya Rivers still today for transport around the city. Wish it was the same with the Ping River here in Chiang Mai! In Chiang Mai, further north in the mountans, it DOES get cold sometime, and we're currently having very bad cold this season! Wish I could have gone to Bangkok to see this, as I did for the May coronation and the cremation of the late Bhumibol Adulyadej in October 2018. Minor spelling errors in subtitle transcription - wrong spelling of Ayutthaya. "Sucker Thai" means maybe Sukothai?
