Celine is CLASS
sapnu puas i thought I heard there was a performance on her let’s talk about love tour where she bounced between f5 and e5 or something while hitting the note? Idk I might be imagining
Its because its supporter, comfortable and ringing, and no rasp so clean and non-throaty belt. Its best for me i think. All of others were strain. Correct me if im correct
@@driveTOPlaya absolutely. I do like the raspy ‘anymore’ she always does, but in this Boston 2008 performance she sang full, strong clean voice which is I guess even harder to do, but sounds (to me) more impressive, so confident and bold. Original recording is higher and more raspy but I prefer this (a bit) lower and full voice version. anyway, she is brilliant one way or the other. Not as brilliant as Mina Mazzini, but still :)
I think Celine shines so much in mid belts, like D5 is her money note. It's one of the most resonant, open and powerful notes I've ever heard out of all artists!
The fact that she has been able to consistently hit that high nore since the song released really show how her vocal chords were built for singing. How many artists have vocal issues affect their career is insane.
Taking chances tour note was the perfect of them ALL, it was clear and unstrained even tho raspy sounds so good cause the song its a very sad song the raspiness made it even emotional, but hearing it all clear damn
This is just my opinion. The 1996 Studio Version is the best one. The rest of them were amazing. Celine Dion has a very beautiful voice. But, The 1996 Version gives me chills. Cause, How in the heck can someone hit that note. That is so so so amazing. Congrats to This great woman for keeping her voice amazing for over 20 Years in the making. Already on the 25th Anniversary. OMG!!!!
Ever since I was a kid I have always been captivated by her voice her song. Had a collection of her songs on audio taps, video taps, cds, DVD and now no matter how many times I change my phone I will always have a Playlist of just her songs. Don't forget my laptops as well. I just love her.
what I am shocked about is the fact she never lowered the tone of this over the years. She started singing the song live already lowered with respect to the record (seems like 1 semitone only though), and then she kept the same tonality over 20 years. That's insane. I can't wrap my head around this. THE TALENT!!!
2:07 this was that time she didn't have a voice before hitting this note she literally said back stage with a worn out voice that her voice is gone (but then proceeds to perform and nailing it) what a savage queen
Okay, I just discovered this compilation - thank you thank you for doing this!!!!! I am dealing with trolls on another channel who claim that Celine "shreds" her vocal cords every time she hits this E5 and as someone who grew up with musicians for parents, my mother herself a singer that was often mistaken for Karen Carpenter, that claim is simply not true and despite that I have posted several examples they keep lobbing their anecdotal opinions without showing any proof or examples. I'm so sick of trolls ragging on her, she's one of the greatest vocalists of our time. And my mother was Quebecois like Celine and I love how Celine always strikes her chest like Edith Piaf, the famous Parisienne singer did in the early 1900s! It is SO French and so typical of our emotional projection. Anyway, thank you so much!
People keep missing the hardest part of this belt. Of course, F5 isn't that high for a full lyric soprano (like Celine Dion), but this is a chesty belt with POWER & 7+ seconds SUSTAINED. I know she lowered the key a bit (mostly to E5 or Eb5), but that's still very impressive.

Yep, here after Adam Neely video on modal mixture, common tone, enharmonic, double chromatic, mediant modulation. His mom was right, you can see how she conciously sets it up, prepares for it. I mean, obviously she knows she's going to sing the long note, but as someone who could get paid _not to sing_ and is unfamiliar with singing technicalities, setting something like that up with a pose and stuff wasn't exactly something I'd be thinking about when seeing somebody singing. Celine The Powerhouse Queen Dion is the golden standard when it comes to powerbelting and has influenced alot of insane vocal beast in our modern time.
