When the guy talked about his mom's chemo, Céline had her eyes wet instantly. She knows. That was so genuine and touching and considerate.
Yes I lost my 2 yrs ago on March and she wanted to attend her show in Vegas.. my mother passed away to colon cancer, and me and my sisters decided to honor my mom at Celine Dion's concert in Jersey, we took my mother with us in spirit.. we wear a medallion that represents her and we pray that she enjoyed herself at that concert with us, it meant everything to me, it was undescribable. I flew to Jersey from Atlanta to go it was worth it

No she isn't aging gracefully she looks like she's in her 60s. Mariah Carey is the one aging gracefully. Toni Braxton is also aging gracefully. OMG Toni is absolutely gorgeous.

yeah but in the world of classically trained singers, its only an F, which isnt a high note for a woman. I mean look at Julie Andrews, she was singing high Gs, A-flats, As, b-flats and Cs live concert stage, albums and films.

Hitting an F5 in head voice is relatively easy for a Soprano, belting it out & sustaining like she did it is another story...
GarageStudio plus she was barely mixing it. It was extremely chest dominant. It’s not common for anyone to belt that high with so much chest in their mix.

She is such a pure soul, her personality didn’t change at all since the very beginning until now. She’s always been honest, real, funny, and witty.
All by Myself F5 note is the most powerful F5 note ever executed in FULL CHEST REGISTER. they can sing all by myself multiple times live but it will never be as powerful as Celine's almighty note in the studio version.

In her autobiography, Celine wrote that David said Whitney was right next door recording, so Celine sang All By Myself in ONE take.
I remember that and she also said it on the French television!
Now that makes 2 iconic songs in one take, the other being My Heart Will Go On.
These are not easy songs!
And I also recall that after she absolutely killed it - in one take - she took off her headphones and stormed out of the studio - which is, IIRC, the only time she's ever done that. (Bet Rene had to keep her from throttling David for that bit.)

@@luislamb2484 they're friends but on that paragraph there was some shade. She said that what Céline did was sheer lunacy to her and that it seemed like blasphemy. Whether you agree or not with her, those are strong words. She could have voiced her opinion in a more respectful way towards Céline, who btw went to toe with Aretha only after Aretha asker her to do it. Céline has always respected Mariah and Aretha. Mariah could have written that paragraph in a more peaceful , less shady way, while still expressing her opinion.

Just re-watching young Céline singing with her family exibiting that aura as she does today brings a huge smile to my face.
