Turbos need exhaust gas velocity. That's one reason why you rarely see them on twins. Superchargers provide less benefit but aren't tied to engine/exhaust speed. @@guppyitsallgood Yeah, I don't think it's going to happen, either. The intention was there, around 2016 the parent company was talking about a Husky 1301 as a cruiser alternative to the Diavel. I used Twisted Road once in September and was quite happy with the whole experience. Insurance was a little high but eh. I was a "re-entry" rider (took four years off) and my life is a lot different than before, so this was great for letting me know that yes, I do want to own a motorcycle and go on rides. Rented a 2018 Ninja 650.
Got a 19' SDR as my first bike. First 3 days, I put it in the ditch and superman'd off it; Still sticking and no lost / broken limbs! Then fell the bike on a sharp corner, but just got scratches. I am still in love with my SDR and will ride it till I die! I got very tuned with the SDR very quickly, and the riding and power of the bike is what I am tuned for (As a former downhill ski racer)
She’s got the nuts!!!! Been riding in the woods for twenty years, this is my first motorcycle🤙
Looking at Dyno’s of the STREETFIGHTER V4, APRILIA TUONO, Kawasaki Naked H2. The Super Duke makes more horsepower and torque than any of those bikes til it’s red line at 10,000 rpm. All streetable rpm vs a high revving Streetfighter V4 for track use.
I’m one of those crazy guys that started on a 2017 superduke at 5 foot 8 . Now I want to get a 390 adventure 4 years later LoL .
I have a Duke in the garage and the power is addicting! Great video guys!
Q: Why did you put this bike on Twisted Road?
A: Tax write offs, baby!
fuckin right man, papa gov't already takes too much of my cash.
Scared of it. Sooner or later a renter will yeet it and he will buy something with less cajonnes. I got the much more sensable Super Duke GT.
I like the design honestly
I own a 2019 superduke, and I love it! Best bike I ever bought 😁 Always ride in track mode
Yes Josh get some!! That is power in its purest form on 2 wheels
Me: Mmmmh, maybe the Daytona 675 is too powerful for me to start with...
Yammie: HEY LOOK AT THIS CRAZY 1300 BIKE PULLS LIKE CRAZY IN FIFTH GEAR!!!
Me: Ok, wathever let's do this
Get a ninja 400 those things are fun and fast
@@colesweet8478 I was thinking about the R3. But with the same money I could afford a 675... I mean.
@@Reaper93MV you will scare yourself from riding and you'll constantly be trying not to die. Just because a bike has a lower engine size doesn't mean it'll be any less fun.
Who said I don't want to die?
Jokes aside a bike goes fast if you turn the throttle, it doesn't depend from the engine size. I've seen people die with 125cc...
@@Reaper93MV Tbh, it's all in the rider maturity level.. I started on an 05 R6 and got comfortable in like a day or 2 and confident enough to drive in daytime traffic by day 3..
That being said.... TUBRO BUSA
As a past Harley rider and now a Suzuki M109R2 rider the super duke is a beautiful ride with a big torque feel.
Aye can we give some props to our savior daddy yammie all hail street Rossi
Wasn't my 1st bike. but I ride a Superduke 1290 R 2.0 now and ...I LOVE IT
the higher in the revs you go, the more you see god fade into your dash with the 1290
Picked up a 790 Duke a few months back and that thing is super comfortable also. Didn't expect it to be. And cruising at 50 in 6th gear then just twisting it half open and it takes off like I'm in 4th gear. The Dukes have some crazy power
Harely-boy here. Made the leap. Got a 2015 Super Duke and it makes my Dyna look and feel like a joke lol.
Very rare engine that offers both torque and horsepower is a street rpm range on a light chassis.
Rode dirt bikes all my life just sold my WR450 and my V star and now going to this bike in March hahaha these videos are scaring me already hahaha can’t wait to be on it though
Its one of my dream bikes. Faster than the mt10 and looks wicked sick too. 🏍👌
I own a 2018 Super Duke and you need the electronics. I have owned 2 Super Dukes because of the engine
i bought a superduke, it's everything i could ask from a bike. comfortable ALL day, nimble, and it BLAST forwards when you ask for it.
another great feature is how skinny it is.
Soooo.... Josh rode off into the abyss and into the hands of God.
R.I.P. Josh. Lest we forget.
I started on a superduke in America after a 5 year hiatus of not riding at all... I did ride a 150cc yamaha for 4-5 years in Nepal ... thats the only reason Im still alive ... its the best bike ever
I started on a 2016 SDR last year and still here. Just have to respect the throttle. I do however want to try a smaller displacement bike just to see what full throttle feels like.
Been riding motorcross for most of my younger years (untill i was 17) now im 27 and i really missed riding and wanted to have a go on the Road for the first time so i started on the A1 licence here in Norway this spring. After i got my licence i bougth a superduke r 2018 as my first bike. Still alive and well, been a wild ride tho. Watched the channel alot before i diceded to Get my licence, you guys are awesome. Keep them good videos coming!
16:27 I honest to God thought it was Michael from Vsauce for a second. I was going to explode...😂
I love my 17' SDR, absolutely the most fun you can have in public with your clothes on!!
I just got one I love it it’s my first bike power is insane I know I still need to know the bike better before I can completely have fun with it
"Craziest bike we've ever ridden?"
**Laughs in TurboBusa*
But they just said it's a Busa Killer
@@cyrgaco3765 no u
I got the 1st gen superduke when I was 21 was really nice with twin Akros and super fun to ride
Really enjoyed this style of video, would love to see more POV's/ ride along commentry from the both of you :)
I traded mine for a Harley lol. But I did own it for 6 years, with two 3,000 mile round trips to the Dragon. Great bike.
Love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳❤❤
I didn’t START on the SD…. I started on a 390 ADV. Got 1,800 miles on it and decided I needed something more. Didn’t want to waste time and money on “stepping stone” bikes so I went balls to the wall and bought a 2023 SDR EVO. Just bought it yesterday so I don’t have a lot of time on the bike but the time I HAVE had on the bike has been fantastic. I don’t know if I just have really good throttle control but the bike felt fairly manageable to me.
Started on kawi concours 14, still riding it 4 years later
cant wait to be comfortable enough to handle a bike like this, but for now im happy with my DRZ :-)
1290 Super Duke R / MT10 / FTR1200. 3 favourites. Still struggling to decide which one will be my next bike!
Pure Yammie goodness this video is.
Man them roads look amazing to ride on. living in the UK 🇬🇧 our roads are a bit sketchy love that bike
the super duke is my dream bike. I have always been V-twin bro.. I absolutely love V4s too but twins are where it's at.. the handa RC51 is my all time favorite bike but this is 1b
Above 6000 rpm the beast reveals itself
It's funny. I'm a rider of 2 months and I ride a super duke with 200+ hp often. I can agree, it rips.
The Nicely tuned Buell lightning would be a predecessor to the super duke.
I'm waiting for the MEGA Duke! 1,800cc...
Life is too short to ride a boring motorcycle.
Christ Spite, how big is your helmet with that Echo hahaha... In other news, the superduke scared me 'shirtless' too
Love my 2020 super duke! Only been riding 4 years!
Even riding one in Ride 3 is enough to confirm its a maniac!!
I started on the superduke... took me straight to meet this guy named St.Peter!😮
I’m starting on a 520cc dirt bike which is ludicrously fast on the dirt…always pointed at the sky…I’m gonna give myself at least three years riding this thing and then I’m going to shop for a superduke
You guys need to see if you can rent a Kawasaki Z H2 next time and compare it to the Super Duke.
Man, love that bike. And those slowmo shots, nice!
Rode this bike for the first time a few months ago, it’s crazy if you want it to be but easy to ride and light 👌🏾
The ability to turn off the electronics was the reason I bought my in RC8SP in 2008. Some mods later had it at 202rwhp, and 125lbf, sheer madness on the gas but real civilised when you want to rein it in.
How about a comparison with the Ducati Diavel 1260?
Been watching noob before bikes had ECU’s in them. My MT-10 got stolen and my heart left my body. It felt like a love one died, with that being said FINALLY my Insurance covered it. I recently got a 2020 super duke...... AND holy fuck. The only way I can describe how it accelerate is; this is what Albert Einstein was missing in his search for a cohesive theory of the universe. It warps space-time, you look at the horiz...oh you’re there. ONNNNNNNNNE last thing, REVIEW a 2020 with the tech pack.... you can control what motorcycle you throw your leg over, that’s how good the electronics are.
Cheers hope everyone is staying safe and still have love in there hearts.
I didn’t start on the Super Duke... but I started on a 390, had it for a year and then got the Super Duke
I just got a super duke 1290 and its fucking fast. Ive been riding street bikes since 16. When I first rode it I was legit scared. Best motorcycle I have ever ridden.
Got a Superduke 1290 R as first beginner bike, still alive.. 😉🎉
Only in sport mode with TC off this bike is a beast .
Tried a xjr 1300 first week of learning to ride my 125cc (a1) SOOO much fun
my first one is a 2015 superduke and still have it. also modified the engine...power commander, ignition module, rottweiler airbox, lithium battery ( lighter) took off the catalizer ( lighter) and will do engine porting this year and still not satisfied lol
Man, I love the roads in Hill Country around Austin. Two of my favorites are out by the Balcones Nature Preserve a little outside of Marble Falls. One of them even has a little off camber blind turn to get your attention haha.
I’ve just started on a Super Duke! Unfortunately it’s just a duke 125 that I think is super
I started on the superduke, the hand of god will give you a little if you ask for a little, or everything if you ask for everything, it’s all about control.
I feel like riding my motorcycle now. Like if you feel the same 👍
Me too mate, but it's raining here for days...
Daniel Awesome I don’t have a bike, but I’d love to riding a motorcycle today. Hell, I’d even be cool with riding a bicycle right now.
@@avukovic84 Same here, but when the sun come out and it nice day I'm on motorcycle 😂
@@danielawesome346 Me too mate, me too...
I'm just here wishing I had one....some day though....some day
