As an average looking guy with barely any money to my name, women aren't beating down my door to ask me out. After one of my exes broke up with me a year ago, not long after I learned she's been with nearly every guy in the neighborhood and she's below average. Even average to below average women get into more sexual or romantic relationships than the average to below average man

You are right that the woman was having a psychotic breakdown - seen it first hand. Could be an adult tantrum as you said. Could also be Bipolar or Borderline personality disorder. That doesn’t make the last 2 ok. Borderline is a treatable disorder without meds to reprogram/reteach your brain how to act because something(s) in your childhood took on a divergent path of thinking. Bipolar usually needs meds and dietary changes.
I sympathize with anyone who chooses to stay with a partner with one or both of these disorders. When the person is working on themselves with doctors and meds etc. that can motivate a man to stay.
But if the woman or partner relies solely on you to take responsibility for their actions, verbal and emotional abuse - that is too much for one person to do alone.
You can help but you can’t be the sole source of help. I don’t fault anyone who walks away in that situation.

i suffer from bipolar type 2 and actually chose to leave my marriage rather keep inflicting the emotional damage i had been causing when completely irrational as the psych was upfront about how long it could take to find the right meds and dosage to keep it under control. I could have stayed and my ex was willing to try but i felt it was unfair on her to try and deal with my cycling irrationality and raise our baby daughter whom I also didn't want to burden with that behaviour. So when christine talks about mental health and getting help I agree 100 percent.

I'm from Texas. I have been married to a girl from Argentina for 6 years now. She was 18 and I was 20 years old when we got Married. We have 3 kids. Going to Argentina with my friends for vacation was the best decision I've ever made in my life. American women turn me off because they are so argumentive about everything. My wife stays home and takes care of the kids while I run our business. Because I love her so much I try to make as much money as I can so I can take my family on vacation at least once a month. We fly to Argentina 4 times a year to visit her family. She still looks at me the she did when we first met. I will sacrifice everything in me to keep that feeling she gives me when she looks at me. It's that simple. I don't want much other than peace when I'm not working. She gives me that. Every good hard-working man deserves that.
Men really want very very little. And for that we will bend over backwards and move heaven and Earth.
I'm closing in on retirement and I am planning on going to the Philippines because my money will go further. I could not care in the slightest about the women there. I did my time and I plan on living the rest of my life in peace by myself.

Personally, I think we've made a misconception (I know...just one?) as a society. You shouldn't have to change yourself for your loved one because you should already be working on your problems. put on your big boy/girl pants and get the shit done. And if you don't think there's something for you to fix. Ask your sibling/youngest cousin and they will tell you honestly and without mercy what your faults are. You shouldn't need a bf or gf in your life to do that.

Lucky me I’m glad I’m out of the u.s I’m only 26 years old but these modern women over there are something else, right now I’ve been dating a very traditional and beautiful Japanese girl and both of us are considering marriage here in Japan. I dont know where this is, but this is a HUGE thing in Brazil. Saw some compilation videos from there last couple of years. People fed up with criminals and they ram their cars into criminals that are doing their crime on the streets. Its not pretty. Some get killed, broken legs, etc. It is brutal. Christine, report it to the police? In UK?? Police had about 20 of such videos of my ex. They couldn’t do anything about her mental health but they were just wrapping up the whole case to charge her. 1 day they arrested her despite me begging them to not do that as it won’t solve the problem. 3 days later the UK family court issued a non molestation order against me on a without notice basis, prohibiting me from entering my own house I just bought for our family. I lost my home and became homeless. I lost my kids, dogs, cats, all my belongings, clothes for the winter, everything. Police were very helpful but couldn’t do nothing because of the court order. Her solicitors fishy tactics made the hearing delayed for 10 months after which the court dismissed everything based on 400 pages of evidence from me, Police, social services, schools and doctors, disproving her every single allegation. I survived but will never be the same again. I never told that to anyone but my closest friends. I know I won’t change anything, beside I’m not the only one in such situation..
In the US all she has to do is claim she was assaulted or sexually abused and that guy's life is over. Immediately without a shred of evidence.
