    The things we do as artists. I did the same thing with the green background before finding this method and things look so much better this way! Such a good tutorial, I animate the second way you said in this video and I laughed when that came up. What a mind twister animating is. Thanks once again for the great video!

    Hey! I've just got the affiliate on Twitch and I'm making my own both static and animated emotes. The "How to Draw EMOTES for Twitch FULL WALKTROUGH and this one are the most complete and useful videos I've found out there. Thorough yet easy to understand and very concise. Thanks a lot!!

      @@Shyfoxx Just finished my first animated emote!!! Just wanted to thank you again. Took me about a week to get the look right because the person I was making it for was very particular but your tutorial made the animation process so simple as well as all your sizing tips. Your emote tutorial has also helped me so much. I know I commented on that video but just the amount of improvement that I have seen in my abilities is incredible once I had the proper tools and teaching. I've never heard of clip studio and in the few months that I have had it I've made about 5 emotes, 1 animated emote, and 1 full body illustration. I've tried photoshop and other programs in the past and gotten fed up because I felt like I never had a proper tutorial or teacher. You have really turned my life around and it feels so good to create again. The product looks so good and my shaky hands don't get in the way because of the stability. Hi, so just wanted to mention that is a very cool tutorial. As of my tip you could have used the fox as background in the entire animation and on top of it add just the starts for easier editing. (Not sure if you can layer animations like in Premiere or After Effects but it looks like you do)

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  Год назад +1

      Yes you can do layer animation and you are correct!! For people who have a better understanding of layers and things this would be the ideal way to do it. Many people get confused doing it this way because layers is definitely more advanced. 👍

    • @kageoukami
      @kageoukami Год назад +1

      @@Shyfoxx I understand what you mean, hmm then that could be done using just 2 layers top one with stars and eyes and bottom one with marged fox. If you wanted to entirely delete using layers then yeah, I understand and it does have sense.

    Hi! Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Im trying to add an animated emote to twitch but it tells me it should be 60 fps or less. The gif its 2 seconds (loops forever, maybe this is my issue?), 22 fps. I made it on After Effects.
    I hope you read this, or someone can help!

    how would you animate an emote that moves back an forth? like a dance emote or wiggle emote? thanks so much !

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  Год назад +1

      If you wanted a smooth animation you'd have to use After Effects and learn that animation tool. Much more complex than frame by frame but it sure looks nice. The other option would be drawing individual frames such as what's taught in this tutorial. Either can work, both are difficult as a dancing emote would be a fairly complicated animation. Wiggle could be easier depending on what it looks like.

    A client of mine recently said they didn't need all the sizes anymore, just one and twitch saves the other sizes now. Is that true? Or do their viewers on phones just don't see their emotes now? 😂

      You can use other programs using this strategy instead: ruclips.net/video/2P3e6RxcGHg/видео.htmlsi=Zqfma5vUJssv0vvf (a newer video explaining how to animate without an animation program)

    Can you do the same in GIMP?

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  Год назад +1

      You can't animate emotes in GIMP, but you could use GIMP to create the frames and then follow the final step to use a third party to but the frames together in an animation. So technically yes, you could follow the process without a program that can do animation.

    May I ask if the website, that you use to make transparent gifs, is saving those images? Like keeping the images. I know I sound kinda paranoid but with everything going on with NFT's etc I just want to be careful.

    • @Shyfoxx

      No idea if this website would save and do anything with the images. Uploading anywhere online poses a risk.

    • @Shyfoxx

      Yes, they would have a 30fps or so. They are done differently and require a different animation program such as After Effects.

    This started as a hobby and I would just volunteer them to people I followed. But I've had two friends of those streamers ask if I would be willing to do emotes for them and I did. But now I'm getting more dm's and feel like I should've charged them initially bc it's so much effort but now I'm just not sure how to price or bundle these. The art is the fun part but I'm really nervous about the business end of this. I'm not sure how appropriate this is but if you are able to provide any guidance I'd really appreciate it.

We specifically have an emote channel and we can discuss these things in there if you like! Community members will have lots of advice and I'll be able to share some too most likely. 😊

      Yea, no. Art is different because of copyright. You pay extra for an art piece to use it commercially. I hope you grow to learn and appreciate art more and how many hours it takes.

I'm also working on my Graphic Novel). Not even sure yet what to post on RUclips yet, because I do a lot of things, and people have a hard time managing that. Ah well, problems for future me.
