Hey Couriway, Auramaru7 here on my work computer lol. This video helped me tremendously in understanding the skill in Zylenox's run. It's not just about seed RNG, or piglin trade RNG, or Blaze rod RNG. It's about playing perfectly throughout all of that. I think a lot of us couch potatoes had it in our heads that Minecraft 1.16 World Records were just a roll of the dice at this point, that any skilled runner - given a good seed and good rates - could pull off a world record. This was humbling to watch you struggle on the world record seed.
You have arguably played more Minecraft than anyone else in the speedrunning community, and to see you struggle to make the portal or route a bastion - on a scouted seed no less - is enlightening for me as a spectator.
Awesome video, can't wait to catch your stream after work :D

20:01 My day has so far gone splendid, edited a video as well as planning another video soon. Played Pokemon Go with my brother earlier and we caught a Latios. Going to play some Terraria with my friends later.
Anyways, I love this video, I hope to see more interviews like these in the future, really has a laid back chill vibe, yet very informative. Very glad to see you back on RUclips and wanting to treat it seriously, hope you manage to balance the content out by not burning yourself out and upload what you love.
Zylenox is genuinely one of the best players I've ever seen, from his GD days to MCSR he has not fail to amaze all of us. it's honestly really interesting hearing you talk about it because I do love hearing about esports in an actual sport perspective. These are actual athletic skills needed - reaction time, ability to plan, physics, knowing exactly how long to wiggle your mouse for to spin the exact right angle... yes the physical fitness isn't as strict as most of what we think of as sports but the needs of a horseback rider are different than a swimmer too, y'know?
and it's especially interesting hearing you talk about it because you're someone who's looked at it all and gone "wow, I have skill but I can't keep up with this Pro Circuit up here, so I'm gonna do my own thing even though I'm not setting any records anymore". and as a result you probably have had more wild stuff happen to you than most runners because your experience isn't as linear. So you come out of it with a very unique perspective compared to most. and so while I already get a lot of the information from channels like The Weekly Thing, it's cool hearing your POV on it too.

Hey Couriway, great video here, I've been watching your RUclips video during my work lunch breaks for over 2 years and I really do enjoy your perspective on Minecraft and all things speedrunning. My favourite videos have been your no reset 1000 runs videos, the format was familiar and helped me unplug from my job for those 20-30 minutes. The set seed runs over new world records were also fascinating where you were learning and teaching us about the strategies, movement and tactics involved in the runs and things you were looking to learn. Generally speaking, I really enjoy your style of commentary over anything minecraft, and to be fair you've had your fair share of misses regarding video series (hardcore survival just didnt work imho) but I think what youve been doing lately has been excellent. Id love to see more videos of your 100k runs like you did regularly for the 1000 hardcore runs or the no reset runs as they were 20 minutes of pure pog with all the mishaps, struggles and learnings. I think your commentary on Minecraft speedruns is second to none. Always watching your full videos and I rate you VERY highly as a streamer who has helped me to learn interesting ways to stream content and do branding etc... your fun style, with lots of memes, pepes, poggers and sadges is absolutely epic and whatever you continue to do i hope that you focus on enjoying the content creation side of it as I would rather see you continue streaming over the years than burnout trying to do content that you dont enjoy. The more you enjoy it, the better the content and the more I enjoy it. Hope this helps a bit mate and wish you well in future.

Incredible video as always Couri :) it’s amazing how far MCSR has come and how impossible these WRs are becoming. I’m graduating college soon and have started interviewing for full time teaching jobs, so I’m excited to get my career started and finally have my own classroom. Glad to see you putting in work on RUclips again, always love a Couriway video :)

I've always loved your videos and i'm really happy that you upload more and stream regularly. Due to a lot of time i'm dedicating to school and my hobbies i don't spend much time online but always when i see a couriway notification i open it :) The quality of this video is insane and i hope more people find your channel and appreciate the work, though i can't tell how it would feel for someone who hasn't watched your channel before.
Hope you (or anyone else reading this) are having a great day and congrats to Zylenox on the world record!

I think it's a little bit weird to redo the intro mid way through after the interview, you could skip saying yo everyone and just continue straight into it.

It almost pains me, realising that there is someone who could be better then you at speedrunning... But you're right at the end, we, I appreciate your content because of YOU, not just your dedication but the way you made all those 2000+ seeds fun and entertaining to watch, the patient way you explain the concepts, your honesty (modesty) and genuine excitement for the game... Watching you is a treat and I feel it made me a better player, helped me appreciate Minecraft more. You make it look so easy (like all pros do) yet you still get so excited when you make a fancy move (sorry, clutch) and don't give uup when you fall into lava, just pull yourself back up. It's... inspiring. All of it. Major respect to the WR holder, of course, but how could you compete with someone who beat the game with pigstep playing in the background?

Im working on a book, so today I worked a bit on it, and actually fixed one chapter that was such a bad chapter Im convinced a 4 year old wrote it not me, but I fixed it. So I guess thats pretty cool, make more of these kind of videos! I like them
