He was already an analyst. He was an analyst on _Sunday Night Baseball_ and _Baseball Tonight_ (when it was still a nightly show) in 2012 before the Guardians came calling.
According to the replay, Brett Phillips bat knicks higasowas glove, it’s doesn’t move a ton, but he does barely touch it before he fouls the ball off, so that was a good call
Ron Kulpa seems like he really wants the title of most hated umpire in history the way he is going. He is ABYSMAL during games and makes everything about himself. I'm sure everyone remembers the "I can do anything I want" BS a few years ago. All he had to do was focus on the damn field and stop staring into the dugout. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and was loving every minute of it. The sooner he retires, the better off baseball will quickly become.
@@lscales6131 Angel is actually a very good umpire when he is behind any other plate OTHER than home plate. He gets most calls right when he is at 1st, 2nd, or 3rd base. He is admittedly abysmal at calling strikes and balls, no doubt. I actually like CB myself; I think he is not as bad as people think he is. The ones I would add are Vic Carapazza and Mike Estabrook, both of them get smug smirks that need to be slapped off of their faces at some point.
@@Joe_Okey while metrics may agree with you when he (AH) misses a call he misses it by a mile. I agree he’s terrible behind the plate but he also inserts himself into a lot of things that he shouldn’t. I agree VC does the same thing and has an itchy finger when it comes to ejections.
It seems to me like he’d rather argue and yell at the managers and players when he screws up rather than try and make the right call next time. Edit: I VIVIDLY remember him saying “I can do anything I want!”. He should have been fired right then and there!
The Marlins can get mad if they want to, but at least two of those were balks. Bleier was never actually coming set. "Set" means you're NOT MOVING! If the glove keeps sliding down and then you start your delivery, that's a balk. Now the flipside argument is that calling a balk with the runner on 3rd is nonsense because the pitcher was not "deceiving the runner." If the runner is on first, sure. Second, maybe. Third base? No way. The whole spirit of the rule is out the window when you call that third balk.
I'm just surprised I've not seen or ever heard of any players recently trying to fist fight with an umpire in game, with all the damn umps instigating you'd think it'd happen by now, lmao
As much as I DESPISE the New York Yankees (because I’m a diehard Boston Red Sox fan; and I’m glad the Houston Astros swept them in the ALCS), I LOVE it whenever Aaron Boone gets tossed from the games, because the Yankees (most of the time) fold after he’s tossed 0:01-1:55 MIN vs. CWS 🥊 (the Twins-White Sox rivalry is up there with the Wild-Blackhawks rivalry) 4:57-7:16 ARI vs. COL 9:56-14:36 LAA vs. CLE 16:42-17:19 BOS vs. NYY 17:58-19:44 KC vs. SEA 🫡 20:41-22:59 MIA vs. NYM (I never thought I’d see THREE balks called on the same pitcher in the same at-bat 😳)

Whether you agree or not on some of these it always blows my mind that some players are shocked that they got thrown out for arguing any call. Like the one at 5:18 do I think he went probably not but Hunter tells him to stop and he keeps on coming down then when he gets thrown out he’s like what!?
Last video of the year of the Umpire Pigs making the wrong calls until next year next year is going to be where the Pitch Clock is going to be involved and the Pigs are going to mess up with those calls coming soon to this RUclips channel in April 2023 can't wait to see how bad this pitch clock is going to be like

Major league failures I’m talking about umpires. How horrible can I get before somebody does something? Oh wait you can’t do anything about them because their union won’t allow it. What a shame
This rule that you can’t argue balls and strikes is the most ridiculous rule in baseball I know umpires have a tough job but these guys stink and have way too much power
Kulpa is one of those kids that takes his ball home because he struck out looking. He needs to retire and move in with Joe West so they can compare egos and bad calls. Useless!
Terry Francona has always had the best meltdowns. He’s just standing up for his players and their rights.
Lol at 7:22!! Love hearing the Super Mario Bros 8-bit "game over" music after he struck out! 🤣🤣
11:27 Classic Tito! Flashback to his days with the Boston Red Sox
i love terry francona when he gets mad 😂😂
Francona is a X Arizona player.
Terry brings back Indians days when it comes ejections.
Tito is fantastic when he gets on the umpires ass for not doing their job properly. Especially squinty eyed Ron Culpa who is a terrible umpire.
Tito Francona is my favorite manager outside of Bobby Cox.
Tito is going to make a great mlb analyst when he decides to retire

Will there be an October version? Tune in next week to find out!
I bet the games would be a whole lot more honest if all of them wore mics
Ron Kulpa needs to be on the same bus outta town that Vic Carrapazza is on. No one paid to see you or watch your egos explode.
The umpire you called a balk three times, is the new Hernandez. He has no idea what the fuck he is doing.
John Tumpane was the ump. Tumpane is usually better than this but that was pretty horrible
In the Toronto vs Baltimore when he gave a warning about hitting people imagine right after that he hit him😂
Lowkey thought that was gonna happen next, if I was pitcher and the ump told me that I would probably hit ‘em lol

Good bye Joe West 😁
The balks were BS. The first in his career. That umpire just made thst game about him.

Umpires have too much power. Sorry. Makes them act like wannabes
Imo if benches clear all non in play players should be ejected
Lets play baseball 🤬
Ron Kulpa one of the worst , at the level of Angel and Country Joe
He should be fired he instigated players
3:10. That wasn't catchers' interference.
