Daryls mom.is a vocal coach and recognized his talent right away. His sister tells how mom was already teaching him breath control at age 3. Their faith in him surely paid off. Thank you, Mrs. Hohl.

I remember being at our families annual Easter picnic in 1988. I knew H&O had a new song out but it had only been a few days so I had yet to hear it on the radio. I literally called the radio station from a park payphone and requested it. No dice after sitting for 2 hours waiting. However that night when I came into my room to go to bed I turned on the radio and caught like the last 30 seconds. Kids today will never know the pain of not having instant access to your favorite artists latest music. To this day if I was to meet DH my first question would be WHO decided not to make I'm in Pieces the second single on Ooh Yeah lol. I remain convinced that if the singles had been Real Love, Pieces, and Keep on Pushin Love that they would have had a much larger comeback, but still love this song!
