i’m literally so ready for this documentary to be out. i love how Demi is so open with her past struggles and it just shows how amazing and how strong she truly is.
*Demi Lovato doesn’t realize that she makes literally everyone’s day better when she posts 🔥 She’s a big influence on my music, I hope I make a song with her one day 🙏🏿🌎*
Idc how many docs of Demi come out, idc if each episode is four hours long! I will watch anything about her that’s real. She’s an amazing person and I look up to her! I’m so thankful she is still here today or else I wouldn’t be able to listen to “Dancing With the Devil” on repeat!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I never was a fan, but because I never listened. Never gave a chance. But what I am, is an addict. Also in my own recovery. I can not tell you how much this documentary means to me. I relate, so scarily. I am so happy to have gotten to know her thru this doc. And can I say, her voice is so truthful, and powerful, and GREAT. Whew....idk what else to say.
I remember that day. I was devastated. 2018 was a bad year for me and her overdose was one of the sad moments from that year after my father's death 😭 I feel very grateful that you are alive Demi, you can't imagine how much!!! That's why I always pray for you and your happiness, I really do 🙏🏼
Her story is so crazy and scary. I think she needed to tell this story to finally kind of free herself from this and help people who might need to hear her story for help. I love her and I know for a fact she’s such an amazing wholehearted person ♥️
You are correct. Owning your truth and telling your story is very liberating for those in recovery, from anything. There is a saying, "In order to keep it, you have to give it away." Sharing her story will and has already helped others, but in doing so, it helps her even more, by keeping it close to the surface and holding her accountable. This is exactly what she needed and was perfectly timed.
This wonderful woman has helped me through so much. And I know Shes helped others. Her honesty & vulnerability is inspiring. Her strength and courage is incredible.
The first time I watched “simply complicated” I was a daily heroin/I.V drug user and I kinda had a feeling that she was either using too, or on the road to using it. The things she was saying on camera reminded me of myself, and my own journey with addiction, recovery, and relapse. Here we are, more than a year later and both of us are clean. (I hope) I truly hope she has found the peace and happiness that I have. #loveyoudemi
I've never used, but i have my own issues and traumas, but it does make mpe wonder what clues shebwas giving out that you as a user were able to pick up. Congratulations on your sobriety though!!
I know we are complete strangers , but I am so entirely proud of you. Slip ups and all. I can’t imagine how hard your life has been , but even more so how strong of a human you are. Please don’t forget to allow yourself to feel every emotion you need to in every situation in order to keep yourself safe. Be proud of yourself , you deserve the praise❤️❤️❤️
Her laugh at 20:31 and 23:32 omg I love her 😂❤️She is the most adorable human being ! I am so proud of her for overcoming her demons and for having the courage to be so honest and open wanting to inspire and help others who struggle with similar issues.
I’ve been a fan of yours since the start. I got bullied because I’ve a disability. You inspired me to keep going to recovery. Now I’ve not self harm in 9 years. I’m so *PROUD* of you for speaking up . You are truly a light to people who are in the dark. Even tho some people might not see it. I told my high school 8 years ago how bullying effected me 💜.
I have always had this phrase, for my tattoo, that reminds me of Demi ... "it takes profound courage to be my authentic self"... well done, Demi!! You're a true inspiration!!!
I’ve grown up with Demi and I’ve been through a lot of what she has for that I think I’ve related to her much more than any other celebrity, I genuinely care for her but I am so incredibly proud of her, how far she’s come and how unapologetic/real she is. I’m so exicted to see what comes next.
Same. She’s my birthday twin & almost losing her at 2018, wrecked me. I normally don’t put celebrities on any sort of pedestal, but she’s always been someone I’ve relates to and loved since day. I’m so proud of her for coming forth with the truth.
I love how their whole group is living their best life together as apart Like whole selena and demi and justin and j bros and Taylor Swift like after all these years they all are happy ❤️
I am so proud of the human being that Demi is, she is an incredible woman who always encourages people with her music and her words! I am very grateful for the existence of this woman!
As a day one Demi fan, I’m so proud and excited for this project. Even in her “Stay Strong” days I hated that people made her some sort of “poster child” for sobriety and recovery. She’s human just like everyone else and she has always been as transparent as she could be for that moment. Its important to recognize that recovery/healing is NOT linear. It’s not clear and cut and precise. It’s messy and painful and it’s a process. I’ve heard many people say they no longer support Demi because of the relapses and the choices she’s made as if they expect a different level of perfection from her and it’s unfair and ultimately that way of thinking being pushed on her (and other celebrities) is the very thing that causes relapse. I’m so proud of her for staying true to herself and for growing as much as she has. I truly feel that the way this was done, there’s a level of trust and honesty there hasn’t been in the past because she’s worried about living her life for her in a healthy way instead of forcing herself to live her life for others. It feels different than Simply Complicated. So grateful for Demi and her presence in this world. How wonderful it is that she is still here to tell her story. I can’t wait to continue listening to her story over time and seeing her further growth 🖤🖤🖤
I never looked down on her but I was upset that she had relapsed again and ODed, until oround her Superbowl performance when am i came across her interview with Ellen and she explained a little bit of what lead to it. And until now watching her documentary, I thought the reports of heroin were lies. I feel for her, and im so glad she's pulled through!!
