I think this is great because Anna Kendrick is a genius. I watched her break down her first set of movies and I thought wow this woman really gives a lot of information. And I love her humor.
Scott Pilgrim is truly unique, hearing Anna talk about her experience on set makes me realise how much of a genius Edgar really is credit to Anna and the cast for just going with him...
What I love about her in Eclipse doing that speech is that it adds a lot of depth to her character. For most of the saga she's seen as pretty vapid and emotionally inept, but that speech really adds a nice element to her character!
I partly agree. It was her moment to “shine” in a way. Though i do think that her character was actually a rl cool “normal” girl. Like she had normal teenage troubles and lead a normal teenage life. It’s just that those things were outshined by al the supernatural stuff and life and death situations. This speech kinda brought back the feeling that they were all just kids figuring out life. Sorry for rumbling, just felt to write this ❤
I agree, I like the depth & seriousness it added to her character. But what I love most about this scene is the contrast between what she is saying and what Bella is about to do. She’s saying that now is the time for them to go figure out who they really are, to fall deeply in love and then realize you’re not really that in love enough to marry that person and then end the relationship and fall deeply in love with someone else and do that over and over, to make a bunch of mistakes and it’s fine because now is the time to figure out their lives and who they are and what they want to be, and they are contrasting all of that with Bella who is making the very serious and permanent decisions to get married and end her mortal life. The speech kind of makes you realize the ridiculousness of what Bella is doing and the life she’s living. Not enough to fully pull you out of the movie or make you hate her choices necessarily, but enough that it shows the seriousness of what she’s doing and how she’s somewhat ending her life as she knows it & how she will be leaving all of her friends and family behind.
yup i always love when the side characters get more depth. like in midnight sun when edward reads jessica’s thoughts & sees that even tho she’s jealous of bella she can also get very worried for her :)

I can’t believe she was paid $75 a day!! What?!?
I almost forgot how blue her eyes are! They look gorgeous with this lightning
Anna Kendrick is so lovable and cute. She has so many movies that she rewatched including "Up in the Air", "Twilight" franchise, "Pitch Perfect" franchise and her newest film "Alice, Darling".
it brings me comfort that even the people who on are screens for a living can't stand to look at themselves without cringing LOL. we are all the same
She was recently on this season of Hot Ones as well. That interview and the behind the scenes she did with Trevor on the Daily Show had me in stitches lol. Very talented.
i love how genuine she is
this is horrifying. let’s continue 😭😭
The cat references made everything ten times more adorable.
How could they not include The Last Five Years 😭😭😭
So glad they had Camp in there, that was my introduction to Anna Kendrick, and I wanted to see more of her.
Little Anna slayed that scene in Camp. Loved seeing her react to it. ❤
I remember years ago while I was working for Hasbro Toys and "the cup song" was still huge, we actually created a cups Music Game based on this concept. I don't know if it was ever released but Anna certainly made a huge impact with this!
Anna Kendrick sure is a brilliant actress. The number of films/series she's associated with proves that she is fairly versatile.
I loved her, she´s so talented and humble
I LOVE "Camp". She was so good in it.
