Then to top it all off they use waterparks as the big recognizable hook that sells players onto the idea that this is a true sequel worth having.
Makes sense that all the old planet coaster content creators have come back to the game after not playing it for years upon years. Good on you chacho for sticking with it all these years.
My biggest hopes for Planco 2 are two things: Large selection of cool and unique rides and coaster and slide types like in RCT3 Ease of access in decorating, because I really don’t want to spend 1,000 hours making my park look realistic
When I started playing Planet Zoo and saw the barriers tool I immediately had the thought "huh, if the outline was filled in with pathing you'd have a plaza tool for Planet Coaster." The habitats barriers designate an area that should have collision and object interaction, and a plaza is basically a habitat for guests. Then the barnyard DLC came out and guests could enter and move around inside the habitats and that basically confirmed it.
I can't believe it's finally happening. I've wanted a waterpark building game for as long as I can remember. I can't wait to have a path system that can easily create organic plazas.
With all this tropical and water theming, hope they carried over the pirate animatronics and pieces. Seems like we'd be able to make superb pirate sections with all this new stuff.

@jasonkloos6348 true, in the real world parks don't want to spend the money on two of everything for both a loading and a unloading station. I can remember getting unloaded on the loading station of the real Zambezi Zinger a few times because it was a low-attendance day and WoF didn't want to schedule extra staff for the unload station. @@ahighdef.experience3394 truth, and certain PlanCo 2 new features might not be plug-in play with the programming used in PlanCo. Sadly, everything we want isn't always possible as a dlc.
Did they mention anything about dark ride buildings or more realistic interior lighting, that way we don't have to switch to night time or even underground for dark rides.
7:59 My Questions for the devs: When did Frontier start working on Planet Coaster 2? and are there any coaster enthusiasts working on planet coaster 2?
I'm not a builder like you and many other, I plop down a stall and call it day really. I'm more into the economic management side of games. I found that lacking in PC1. I really hope PC 2 has more for of it this time around, than yet more scenery pieced in a dlc. Though I will probably still buy it.
Probably later in the summer. It's still an alpha build, so not enough is known about the initial stress-testing to say for sure what the requirements are. What I CAN say with certainty is that the demo we saw was performing well on a PS5..
Will there be gift shops like in zoo and will there be PROPER indoor lighting? That is all the more i ask of frontier for this since they Gabe us everything else we wanted
I've been waiting SO LONG for PlanCo 2! I've built a whole new PC in anticipation of this... and to play PlanCo 1 at a somewhat decent fps.🙃 The only real disappointment so far is that it appears most of the themes from PC1 are being dropped from 2, meaning we will likely have to rebuy them in DLCs. Hopefully in that case Frontier can touch them up with new assets when they do return.
Yeah, I get why that would annoy people.. But that is the nature of sequels.. we saw this same "rollback" with Cities 2, The Sims 4, Civ 6, Tropico 6 and every Anno ever made.. Nature of the beast, sadly
I just want a path building process that doesn't suck, a ride decorating process that isn't dependent on hacking the game, and midway games booths that work just like a shop stall, and a better variety of flat rides. How many different versions of catapult drop towers does one park need? Looks like we are probably gonna be buying a new computer this Christmas.😂
THIS IS AMAZING!!, 1. I forget if you mentioned it in the video, but are any DLC's Confirmed/Will there be any DLC's? 2. Will you be able to port over previous parks from Planco 1 into Planco 2?
1. No DLC confirmed yet. I mean, they're literally just announcing the base game, it's a bit soon to announce DLCs.. 2. They didn't say. It was hinted at, but we couldn't extract any confirmed info, I'm afraid...
We didn't see it, but they mentioned that the pool tool and the path tool are the same thing, allowing for wider path areas and plazas of all sorts of shapes..
I wonder if we'll be able to bring our planet coaster one Parks into planet coaster 2. That would be kind of awesome because I have a big Park that I build and want to add a water park to.
Please tell me they added a Beach / Ocean terrain! With the addition of pools and waterslides, they better have included it. Trying to make an ocean ends up turning into a lake! I'll be happy to see my pool water levels where they should be.

Did they mention anything about dark ride buildings or more realistic interior lighting, that way we don't have to switch to night time or even underground for dark rides.
No, nothing at all I'm afraid. This isn't the only one we get to see.. so hold please, caller...
FIRST! Wow this is awesome man thanks for the content! ** Did you get any info on the Disney licensing?**
please ask if theres switch tracks!!!
We did. They were confirmed and then retracted...
Great informative video, Chacho!
Back at you Mr Wikz!! x
I better be able to make an intamin blitz and a b&m hyper with staggered steating
7:59 My Questions for the devs: When did Frontier start working on Planet Coaster 2? and are there any coaster enthusiasts working on planet coaster 2?
I shall ask if I get the chance to..
Really good vid mate
WEATHER. FINALLY.
I know, right?! FINALLY!!
Have they changed the game engine? If so, have they been able to address performance issues..??
They didn't confirm, but it LOOKED like Cobra 2 with a different lighting engine..
PLEASE LET THE COASTER BUILDER BE BETTER, i aint spending 20 hrs smoothing it out then deciding the shaping isnt right XD
Is Beachy point gonna get a water park upgrade?
Doubtful, we won't be able to port parks from 1 to 2.
I might revisit it and do an unusable one for fun.. VERY, VERY soon...
I'm not a builder like you and many other, I plop down a stall and call it day really. I'm more into the economic management side of games. I found that lacking in PC1. I really hope PC 2 has more for of it this time around, than yet more scenery pieced in a dlc. Though I will probably still buy it.
I hope they went with a spline system for building construction. That would be so easier than placing one prop piece wall at a time.
Sounds, from the Steam Store blurb, that it is still piece by piece
When will they publish the system requirements for pc?
Probably later in the summer. It's still an alpha build, so not enough is known about the initial stress-testing to say for sure what the requirements are. What I CAN say with certainty is that the demo we saw was performing well on a PS5..
Will there be gift shops like in zoo and will there be PROPER indoor lighting? That is all the more i ask of frontier for this since they Gabe us everything else we wanted
Too early to tell us. They said that they would "take the best bits of Coaster, zoo and beyond" - so - presumably..
I've been waiting SO LONG for PlanCo 2! I've built a whole new PC in anticipation of this... and to play PlanCo 1 at a somewhat decent fps.🙃
The only real disappointment so far is that it appears most of the themes from PC1 are being dropped from 2, meaning we will likely have to rebuy them in DLCs.
It seemed to perform well on the PS5 they were demoing it on...
I literally just got the first one… 😂
Well, you are in for a right treat!!!
I'm there myself. Took all this time to finally get a real computer.😂🎉😂🎉😂🎉
Will PC1 parks / blueprints / TMTK be compatible with PC2 do you know?
We don't know. Presumably no. But the chance is not zero..
THIS IS AMAZING!!,
Alright, Thank you!
Did they say anything about switch tracks ?
Initially, yes. Confirmed. They retracted that shortly after, so no.
Is the plaza pathing done by drawing the outline of the path area and then it gets filled in automatically?
We didn't see it, but they mentioned that the pool tool and the path tool are the same thing, allowing for wider path areas and plazas of all sorts of shapes..
@@Nerdchacho awesome, thanks 👍🏻
I wonder if we'll be able to bring our planet coaster one Parks into planet coaster 2. That would be kind of awesome because I have a big Park that I build and want to add a water park to.
They didn't say... They alluded to being able to bring coaster layouts, but it was too vague and wishy washy
Please tell me they added a Beach / Ocean terrain! With the addition of pools and waterslides, they better have included it. Trying to make an ocean ends up turning into a lake! I'll be happy to see my pool water levels where they should be.
i hope we get staggered seating on b&m hypers plssss
damn even resizable objects this is a dream come true
It's literally the thing I never knew I needed...
When will we see a first in-game look Chacho?
Frontier are doing one July 31st :)
How's the performance? Does it require a 4090+ and 14900k to run decently?
We haven't played it yet.. but what we saw seemed to be running well on a PS5...
Im hoping we get a guest mode so we can do park tours easier
You have one now....? but I'm sure there will be
I’m not shocked at all with Waterparks
Has anything been said about optimization?
Nothing yet, but it was performing well on the PS5 they were demoing on..
Damn I’m hyped. I hope they add a zoo element so we can build a park like Busch gardens Tampa
How would that work since they also have a Planet Zoo 🤔
