I did a scenario called "2R28 Paddington to Reading (semi-fast)" with a GWR (ex-Gatwick) Class 387 calling at Ealing Bdwy, Southall,H. Harlington, W. Drayton, Iver, Langley, Slough, Burnham, Taplow, Maidenhead, Twyford and Reading. On peak hour
U can actually use the AC Electrical system on the class 387; the AC system select needs to be pressed for around 6-10 seconds (dunno why) Then press the Pan Up button for another 6-10 seconds
Loooool you almost had it when you were putting up the pantograph on the 387, you wanna just hold it until its red. Then hold the "panto up" button for like 6 to 8 seconds it won't light up i dont think, but you'll just have to experience the train accelerating to know its working.
Because in real life the class 387s are able to use third rail and the overhead wires and that GWR, Heathrow Express, Great northern, and c2c runs 387s and they all use the overhead wires
Although to add the 387 you need to set the scenario to "Off The Rails" if you subsequently deselect OTR you can still use the 387... BUT you will(!) be forced to select AC and raise the pantograph to actually move as (obviously) there is no third rail. Also the 387 used to have destinations for non GX routes (such as Bristol Parkway) however the last time I played the 387on GWE no destinations at all could be select in the PIS?
No, because if you put the pantograph up whilst on DC mode you’d probably to break the train. You select AC mode because the overhead wires carry 25kv whilst a conductor rail carries 750v DC
@@drw-jd6tu yeah, you need the shoes up first but putting the panto up before selecting AC mode would be like closing an MCB when there's no power flowing. Nothing would happen.

I can't wait to be able to upload my busy Glasgow central scenario
OH MY GOD!!!!! WHAT a great announcement you did on 18:15

Wow this is such a great video. You’ve made me understand scenario more. Please do some for East Coastway or London Commuter 😁
To switch power hold AC system select for 8 seconds minimum, then hold pan up for 8 seconds minimum. The shoes up shoes down controls don't work
1 other thing they need to add is arriva;/departure times just like in ts scenario creator
I found your Scenario of the GX on Great Western express to Hayes & Harlington on Creators club today
How was it, did you drive it?
''your distracting me! uir distracting me'' lol

Such a beautiful and clever game.
You can raise the pantograph by holding down the AC system select and holding down raise pantograph
Will the preserved collection be available to edit like the class 101, 45 and 47 on livery designer and creators club ?
I have been making scenarios for Sand Patch Grade and I wish you were able to build you own consist instead of using the premade ones.
Yes that is good idea
How did you get that avanti west coast
The 101 is on trans Pennine and diesel legends of the great Western
How is that train running? There's no third rails visibly running parallel to the tracks coming out of Paddington and the panto is down...
Off the rails is active so any train can run
@@MegaSim Ahh that explains it. :) cool
