The DEF pump that sends fuel to this injector works on a feed back loop. The DEF dosing valve has a pressure sensor in it. The ecm reads that pressure and then changes the pulse width on the pump drivers. ( speeds up or slows down supply pump). the pressure is engineered in mechanically and electrically. All that information travels over the data bus. if it is logging faults follow the fault tree for the fault. I have never had to deal with this issue yet. Its your lucky day LOL

So where is the pressure for the dosing built? I have a problem of the pressure building up to 200 psi.

I got a p1514 code DEF dosing malfunction.. I replaced the desert and still have the issue.. could I be the pump?
