Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience on these lenses. I’m about to get my first lenses for Sony E mount (goodbye Nikon F and dSLR).. getting a Sony a7 IV. So, here are my choices Sony 16-35 f2.8 GM for landscapes and some night time photography. Maybe the 20 F1.8 will complement it in the future for Astro/Night photography. And then my question for you, should I choose the Sony 24-105 f4 or the Tamron 35-150 f2/2.8? I most likely will NOT get the Sony 70-200 f2.8 Mk2 (unless I start doing paid work again ) given its expensive and I don’t want to carry such a big lens for casual photography or even if doing some nature/landscape. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Thank you, glad you like it. This is a hard question, cause both the lenses are really good ones. I do not own the tamron 35-150 but I have use it a lot, It have some + and - but overall I'm really impressed of that lens. Cause of the focal length and the big aperture its heavier and bigger than the sony 24-150, but for being a f2 lens with a area from 35-150 I will not say its neither big or heavy. I think the only answer is what focal length do you need most ? the are from 24-35 or the are from 105-150 ? if you have the 16-35 the tamron 35-150 will be a perfect combo, but then you need to bring both lenses. if you only will go with one lens, what focal length fits you best ?
Bra genomgång av båda. Har stått och vägt mellan 20mm 1.8 och 24mm 1.4 för astro och norrsken ett tag nu. Men efter denna video lutar det mer åt 20mm då 24an egentligen är över min budget.
I agree entirely with your thoughts on the 24 -105, never fails to deliver and is my go to lens for my Sony A7 iii
Thank you, its a so good lens and with a so useful focal length area
Great explanation about the advantages of each lens, Magnus.
Thank you Andy =)

Nice video! have you tried the EP Z 18-110mm and the EP Z 29-135mm?

Om 20mm brännvidd passar dig så kommer du bli super nöjd !
