I watched a vlogger in another video visiting China. In a random city in China, a teenager girl was driving a cute mini scooter, waiting by the signal next to him, at mid-night. And she was busy browsing through her smart phone app, without a care in the world. And at that moment, he realized how safe China was. That little girl had no clue about danger at mid-night in a city in China. All her living experiences told her it was safe without exception.
@@Alan-fw2rz Was there on holiday in the most remote of places. Simple fact is, nobody carries cash anymore, all transactions are through the phone so easily traceable, and the government makes no attempt to hide the fact that they are watching everywhere. Absolutely safe.
That's quite an adventure. I am quite impressed that you could eat out in the middle of the night and put your expensive camera on the table. In the US, it could be snatched away in no time. Also going in the park in dark? I expect to see drug dealers, addicts and homeless people in the US and Canada. What a refreshing concept to walk alone at night in China - that's fearless freedom!!
Yes, as a Chinese person, we do not have the freedom to take drugs or own a gun. CCTV is also deemed to compromise privacy, but it is the main reason why China is safe.
You can only do this safely in countries with strong Chinese or Chinese-descended cultures and populations...China (+Taiwan / Hong Kong / Macau), Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Korea, Japan...the rest of the world needs to take a long hard look at itself in terms of the freedom to be safe
No offense intended, but can you briefly explain what "Chinese-descended cultures and populations" has to do with one's being able to walk around safely at night. I definitely would NOT feel safe walking around at night here in downtown San Francisco.
@Gravitys-NOT-a-force no problem, and no offence taken (and I hope none caused). Just an observation, having travelled all over the world, the only countries in which I would feel safe walking around all night as a clear foreigner, carrying potentially expensive camera gear are the countries I mentioned. Culture, governance, policing, economics - I'm not sure why either...

Chinese here, grew up in Shenzhen, living around OCT. currently in college in the US. China really is so safe lmao. You can roam around the city past midnight and not worry about getting robbed at all. It’s such a chill city when it’s not busy like day time. Even the slums are 100x safer than the US. Lol
It’s truly amazing to see my hometown, Shenzhen, from your perspective-a place where I grew up. Shenzhen is such a beautiful and modern city, and it’s also incredibly welcoming and inclusive. I really encourage everyone to visit; I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this city!

Hatred, an inescapable human trait, exists even in diverse places like China. Foreigners in sensitive areas often attract undue attention, but the everyday streets of Chinese cities are marked by peace and security, offering a reassuring tranquility to both locals and visitors.
Wow, amazing photography skills! ❤ The expressions are so vivid and the photos have a really strong sense of storytelling. I live in Shenzhen, and I have also used a 35mm lens to take photos at night in Shenzhen Bay park. I had no idea that the same place could be captured so well by someone else. I didn't realize that the 135mm lens focal length is so well-suited for street photography.
Many of my friends got into troubles visiting western countries. The reason is they are so used to living in China that a young beautiful lady can even walk alone in the middle of the night without any worry of safety. When they visit western countries, they took for granted thought they can do the same like in China. That is why many ended up in deep trouble not knowing that most western countries are not safe to wander around they like can do in China.

it‘s safe in most public places, just don't go to the remote areas, just in case
