I've heard you tell this story before. It's a wonderful reinforcer for how to use the principles of NLP within my day to day life. I've missed taking this type of opportunity many times. Simply managing my state to know that I have these tools, on the fly, is the first step. Hope you get a good bunch of folks in the Edinburgh class. I know it will be time well spent.

A big part of learning how to think better about NLP, Hypnosis, Change work and more comes from the way you JAMES teach. You are probably THE most skilled trainer I have ever learned from, and I have met some of the biggest names in the world of change work. So thank you

That's good to hear, it's about time I jump into some of his trainings. James is first on my list after I get my clinical hypnotherapy cert.

2:57 and onwards. It is exactly what NLP is. And the number of people misunderstanding this is so close to 100%. I USED TO BE ONE OF THEM.
Now I look at NLP quite differently. The methodology is for figuring out how the person you are working with, is doing what they are doing AND how their Mind is working with it. As Bandler once said. 98% of the work is gathering information, less than 2% is the actual change part

I found learning New Code NLP was super relevant to appreciate how to operate from first principles.
There is something about working content-free, which lends itself to not holding the notion of a ‘technique’ too tightly, being spontaneous and fluidly chaining patterns together.

I got to watch John Grinder ‘free styling’ it with changework a few years back. Good stuff indeed!

James, would you ever be up for doing a video based online intensive? Perhaps with video training mixed with zoom meetings that include practice and demos/Q&A?

Hi @heartandmindovercome3214. I doubt I'd want to run a whole prac that way, but I'm open to running more focussed programs on specific areas if there is an appetite for it.

A Fruit From The Po Tree
    If you agree
    I shall share with thee
a fruit from the Po tree.
    Po: we don inner spectacles
    through which we perceive
    - 'perspectacles'...
    yielding sensory perceptions
    always differing
    to some degree
    from actuality.
    Being aware of them
    brings blessings,
    as they have
    adjustable settings.
    Just tinker and we see
    a way to empathy
    and greater flexibility,
    to change conditioning
    and liberate within.
    Oh! The understandings that accrue,
when we know what we can do
    by adjusting our 'perspectacles'!

You had already explained the daughter jab story. I think in my experience although I don't really mind injections, it might be worth pointing out they are so quick to do it's possibly worth looking at time elements of this projected experience. Might comparisons work, I mean kids trip over and cut their knees all the time which is far more a problem than a quick jab?

Has NLP actually changed at all in the last 20 years?

    • @TheTrippnotist
      @TheTrippnotist  Год назад +1

Yes, in aggregate it’s degraded! 😆 seriously though, there are not many people who are doing much development in the field.

Ah, I’ve missed this james guy. I used to have him on Facebook but my account got hacked and then poof, he was gone!
NLP develops as much as it’s practitioners develop new models, but too many masters have attitude problems and wanna fight instead of grow the damn thing
But yea, it’s not about techniques, it’s bout developing the flexibility to think on purpose and go for outcomes you want in an ecological manner!
