Just started back at 44 after a 20 year gap lol im a complete noob again and getting smoked every week by everyone but loving it again just love learning and training again.
I like that you kinda touched base on how you viewed mma before you started training Muay Thai. The lay person that doesn’t know anything about fighting really just want to see people get beat up and knocked the hell out but once you start actually having more knowledge (at least in the standup) you start to notice and be able to appreciate more subtle details even if the fight doesn’t end in a knockout or a slug fest. Like how well someone controls distance with a jab or how they set up a big low kick with a swarming punching combination
Yeah definitely, I appreciate the game a whole lot more and as you get better you have lightbulb moments on certain moments in professional combat Sports and realise what they are doing, instead of calling it boring.
Congratulations bro, funny thing is I also started kickboxing 2 months ago and I also had more less the same reason. I was also just doing weight training and enjoy watching combat sports...
i started at 53.. and Bjj at same time too, ive found doing both sports is helping build cardio and some dense core muscle mass. throw some yoga in too if you want to reduce your aches afterwards!
Lol. I started muaythai at 57. Fortunately, I'm a Thai living in Thailand, where there are plenty of legit gyms within easy reach. Prior to my training muaythai, it was impossible to get muaythai training, unless you're committed to fight for the camp. Congrats! I started at 35, first competed at 38 and I’m still training, sparring, and looking to still compete at 44! Best of luck on your journey!
Thankyou sir! That's amazing! Can't wait until I compete for the first time.
I'm 35 and I'm about to start.

Just started Muy Thai 3 weeks ago, 31 and all I've known was body building. So fun!

Exactly the same, but I started two weeks ago.
Just turned 50 and had my second class. Hooked and not looking back. Great vid.

More Muay Thai videos
I've got another one coming today 😊
@@FitWanderEats most definitely thank you
Yeah, stay clear of the communal gloves. Get your own and disinfect them regularly.
I find that high quality gloves don't smell
