I am extremely excited for this expansion!! As a *HUGE* Star Wars fan, this makes me so happy. Though with Palpatine being in Vader's deck, I'm worried whether or not Palpatine will ever become a playable character himself in future expansions for this. This only thing I can think of is that he'll be centered more around the prequel trilogy and his objective will be to successfully turn Anakin to the Dark Side.
You’re probably right about Palpatine’s objective being to turn Anakin Skywalker to the dark side. The way I see Palpatine’s play style is basically what he does best: _manipulation_ Whether it be manipulating the Fate cards to suit your purposes or be able to peer into the future of your player deck to foretell what cards would come and how to best use them to your advantage. Hell I’ll be shocked if they don’t use “Everything’s proceeding as I have foreseen” as some quote for either a card or his character yet quote.

Like he has Mas Amedda, Nute Gunray, Wat Tambor and other Separatists as allies, but he's mostly using effects and like u said Fate cards to turn Anakin. But he's also trying to get rid of the Separatists bc that's what he did at the end of ROTS.

Maul - complete objectives; Vanquish Qui-gon Jinn, Vanquish Duchess Satine and Vanquish Obi-Wan.

Question on your 9 ambition win strat. Per the rules as I understand them, you can only use an ambition card or ability per ambition icon on the sector you are at, not both. The start mentioned looks like you played an ambition card and ability in a single turn to win. Is that an oversight in your strategy that doesn't pan out or does it legitimately seal the win on your turn?
So excited! Rules Q: I'm not sure if Luke Skywalker moves when you defeat the Millenium Falcon as discussed in the video. To me, it seems that when you defeat the hero and they are sent to the Falcon, Luke moves, but defeating the Falcon then doesn't make him move again as the hero isn't in play. Is this correct? That's how text on the cards seems to read to me.
In the villain guide it specifically states that the Millenium Falcon when defeated will move conflicted like up to the number of times of defeated Heroes on the Falcon :)
Great video as always! Couple of questions and sorry if I missed it. How does a Star Wars villain defeat a fate vehicle? Is that a specific card effect or ability? Can you have more than one ally vehicle in play or one is the maximum?
You can multiple Villain Vehicles in play! Yeah I would highly recommend watching the “How to play link” in the description - it answers all the questions you will have on the new rules. You defeat a vehicle by using a vanquish action with ab engaged Ally Vehicle :)

So can Luke be moved using Vader's effect cards while he is Focused, or can he only be moved whole Conflicted? Not sure if Conflicted just adds the additional moving when heroes are defeated or if he can't move at all unless Conflicted.

So the palpatine card. The guide says he's a Sith lord and not affected by actions that affect allies including maneuver and vanquish actions. Does that mean you can't use him to vanquish? He has a strength. So could you vanquish and just not discard?
Hello! I have a question about the Obi Wan Kenobi hero card. It says the player must discard his/her entire hand. Does that mean they draw a new hand or start the next round with no cards?
Should start next turn with no cards. Drawing back to four cards would be the last action during the players turn. At least that's how my group understands the rules

If you have 3 storm troopers out wouldn't it be base 1 + 2. So 3 strength? The card says "each other" if you have 3 out each card only gets +2 since it doesn't bonus off itself.
Just played as Darth Vader tonight for the first time and there are two rules that are slightly misleading with your guide. 1. You only gain 1 ambition at the start of your turn if you move to a space that has an ambition icon that has not been covered by a hero. Example: hero placed on the Death Star or Cloud City would prevent a player from gaining an ambition on that turn. However, the Emperor’s Throne Room can not have the ambition point blocked. I felt like you implied that a player gains ambition at the start of EVERY turn. 2. If a player uses the card “Note Your Hate Has Made You Powerful” does not defeat Heroes as noted in the Darth Vader Villain Guide. It only removes them from the board so it does not help move Luke to the Throne Room. I’m guessing if the Millennium Falcon is in play the heroes don’t go there either. Directions are unclear on this card. Thanks for the guide.
Hey Rob! You do in fact gain 1 ambition every turn regardless of where you move your mover. The ambition actions only allow you to play an ambition card on your turn. Point 2 I will look into but unsure what you are disagreeing on in the guide. It is for sure a remove effect and not a defeat. 👍🏽
Thanks for the response. I obviously overlooked the ambition on every turn rule. Game is a little overwhelming the first time through. In regards to pint two, I’m not necessarily disagreeing with anything, but trying to understand what happens when you clear all the fate cards to include heroes. Seems like they should go to the discard pile. I have one more question. In your video when you had three stormtroopers cards played you added three +1 tokens. Shouldn’t it be just two +1 tokens. Thanks for the help. My son kicked my butt last night and I want to return the favor tonight. Your video was extremely helpful.

These starwars guides are disappointing. I feel like the original Disney guides you gave strategies and best locations etc. This feels rushed and basically all your doing is telling us about the deck with maybe a small tip here or there. Hardly a character guide

Agreed. Pretty sure the 1st Star Wars Villainous expansion will have the younger Chancellor Palpatine (and Maul).

From the rulebook, I read sector to be equivalent to realm from Disney Villainous. Each individual section on the board are locations.

He can move when he’s focused. But not by destroying hero’s. Unless he is conflicted

Confilicted adds the moving toward the throne room when you defeat heroes. But he can moved while focused too
