Sinner and Alcaraz aren't in their prime yet. And they're both better than the big 3 were at their age, saying that as a tennis fan not a big 3 fan, though I love the big 3 also.
Djokovic did everything perfect in this point and it still wasn't enough...played to his backhand, whenever he switched to nadal's forehand he played an uncomfortable shot so nadal couldn't hit a winner, came forward superbly and at the right moment...nadal is just superhuman on clay. Just wow
Not really perfect. The BH after he got a short ball after several good FH wasn't deep enough, still had a chance to fix it with the volley and the volley as decent as it was it wasn't enough against the speed demon that Nadal was at the time. But it does show one thing - Djokovic's absolute lack of fear to engage in rallies ON CLAY, with Nadal. No other player was ever comfortable doing that, as you pretty much get dragged to death if you play by his rules. And that ability surely resulted in a lot of success on clay, more than any other player can claim against Nadal. Nadal ended up with a 20-8 lead on clay, which is actually a smidgen LESS dominant that Djokovic vs Nadal on HC, where the H2H is 20-7. Your point about Nadal on clay still stands, easily the most dominant player on any surface, by far. He was a monster. I mean just the RG record, 14 titles, a win-loss record of 112-4 (like wtf?).
