i have to say two things. First I do not believe Nadal would be playing here without the most modern medical technology. Without that his body would have succumbed years ago. Second, both of these players have proved their equal to Federer given the years of dedication and concentration they have committed. In these first two sets - Nadal is playing like he is in his prime.
Rafa was average leading up to this huge QF and boy did he turn it up by ten thousand notches from here to get revenge over last year's defeat against Novak and proceeded to hold off an inspired Zverev (who unfortunately suffered that ankle injury) and Ruud to somehow win his 14th and potentially final ever RG.

the level of play of nadal between 2022 and today is so much different. He's much faster in 2022. amazing how just 2 years of aging does to an athlete in their late 30s
It's not just the aging, he's played 12 matches in the last 2 years lol, he's kept getting injuries that made him miss AO this year, Indian Wells, Acapulco, Montecarlo... he has no rythm of competition.
22:29 This is the high tension moment that made Nadal won. attacking forehand by Nadal that is not perfect and allows Djokovic to do a superb return. But Nadal manages to do a running extended backhand volley to finally win the point.
Rafa nicely mixed up his backhand in this match .... Especially the backhand down the lines from Rafa made the difference.... If not for some errors in the second set, it would have been straight sets
That year (2022) Novak didn’t have competition rythm as he couldn’t play AUS Open and the rest of the tournaments because he didn’t get vaccinated. If could have played the whole year he would have probably beaten Nadal and won RG.
Ironically he did the same thing here that he would do in the final set vs Alcaraz the following year at Wimbledon, and the same thing Federer and Nadal did in the final sets at Wimbledon in 2018 and 2019… hit a terrible approach shot and get passed at the net

Kuerten doesn't want any of It tho, especially with a one hander
@@theobecquet8477 yeah but he was 6’5 so nadal’s topspin wouldn’t have effected him as much on his backhand side
@@taylorpack7705 It would, if they played in a hot sunny days like they did back then lol now look what's happened against Zverev with the roof closed, Rafa's topspin has no effect, he can't push his opponent back or wide, Zverev was right on the baseline.
@@rafagoat575 nadal is old and in his final season. His body is failing him.
@@taylorpack7705 His body was fine right now, he just didn't have any rythm of competition. He's played 12 matches in the last 2 years.
The third set of their 2021 semi and the second set of this match will live long in memory.
The final set of their 2013 semi as well.
why isn't the nadal vs ruud rg 2022 final match on your channel?
It was deleted due to copyrights
was deleted because of boring match
For me, the best match of tennis history! Although sinner vs alcaraz from 2022 USO quarters follow pretty close
Pahhahahah
7:30 What a shot by Djokovic 🤯
Vamos forever!!!! King of clay ❤️🔥🔥
King of clay. Unique playstyle. My fav. Player Nadal.
i have to say two things. First I do not believe Nadal would be playing here without the most modern medical technology. Without that his body would have succumbed years ago. Second, both of these players have proved their equal to Federer given the years of dedication and concentration they have committed. In these first two sets - Nadal is playing like he is in his prime.
I'm still waiting for the 2009 vs Soderling
Can we seriously reconsider changing the Center court name to Rafael Nadal?
Nadal's forehand that night was brutal
30:21 I love that point
13:14 only djokovic and Federer can make that god shot
I MISS FEDERER AND WILL MISS DJOKOVIC. BUT NADAL IS THE ONE I AM REALLY GOING TO MISS ❤😢
An absolutely punishing performance from Rafa. And hats off to Novak, who is always a tough-as-nails opponent.
Novak planned to play Nadal, 2023, and got muscle up in biceps and chest for extra force. But Nadal injured didn't show up
Novak was actually catching up with Nadal on clay, but he didn't receive plaudits
Rolland Garroz Grand Slam Wimbledon 😮😮😊
نادال ❤ الافضل علي الاطلاق في رولان جاروس
بدليل لم يخسر الا وهوا مصاب😢
the level of play of nadal between 2022 and today is so much different.
Peak Nadal vs Peak Djokovic
Result - a tennis masterpiece
imo 2020 and 2022 were Rafa greatest french open wins BY FAR when conditions completely changed and we had night and indoor matches. But rafa is rafa.
No matter what, Nadal will always be my goat
Is there a possibility to upload the full matches between Rafa and Thiem 2019 and 2018??
Miss you,Rafa.Return ,for one last time,to RG.
Rafa is really different. If it weren't for Nadal, Djokovic would have won at least 30 Grand Slams.
Nothing is more challenging for Djokovic than playing Rafa on clay!💪 He loves it! Sadly its not the other way round when on hard courts for Nadal!
The day Nadal took Djokovic like a kid in Roland garros 😂
22:29 This is the high tension moment that made Nadal won. attacking forehand by Nadal that is not perfect and allows Djokovic to do a superb return. But Nadal manages to do a running extended backhand volley to finally win the point.
Only one man rules Chatrier when he’s 100% and in form
i miss you so much Rafa...
Le CM sait ce qu'il fait. Rafa 🐐
Rafa God mode... despite playing with anesthetized foot!!!
Rafa nicely mixed up his backhand in this match .... Especially the backhand down the lines from Rafa made the difference.... If not for some errors in the second set, it would have been straight sets
Imagine if nadal keep continuing sliding in hardcourt since 2014 against djokovic what will happen
🇪🇸 GOATdal (Nadal) & 🇨🇭GOATderer (Federer) golden era of tennis & legend forever!!! Cheers!!! 👑💪🐐🎾🎾
🇪🇸🐐
Rafa at Roland Garros isnt federer at Wimbledon or Novak at Australian Open,
Here Rafa give the highest level you can produce in tennis.
Has anybody noticed the surface looks slower than normal.
only you
That year (2022) Novak didn’t have competition rythm as he couldn’t play AUS Open and the rest of the tournaments because he didn’t get vaccinated. If could have played the whole year he would have probably beaten Nadal and won RG.
Lol, excuses, Nadal own frauduvic in Paris 7-2 enough said
fake news : 2022 its was the year of Novak, none beaten him, oops only Nadal
@@norm-bb3bb🧯👨⚕🚑
FEDAL 💎 Forever!!! 🎾🎾🎾
Nadal this year wasn't even 30% of this guy. The level of tennis, the tactical superiority, those baseline strokes, nothing.
Their last match together
The best ever 🐐❤️🇷🇸
FUCK I never realized Novak had set point on his own serve to take this to a 5th.
Ironically he did the same thing here that he would do in the final set vs Alcaraz the following year at Wimbledon, and the same thing Federer and Nadal did in the final sets at Wimbledon in 2018 and 2019… hit a terrible approach shot and get passed at the net
No doubt that nadal is a clay king, at this 29:18 point of match, I almost thought nole for win.But what a come back from king, saved two match points then went on for final match point by winning the final set
Most attacking Rafa ever played..
le goat des statistiques Djoko, c'est pris une véritable * raclé, c'est plus Nole, c'est Tole

you watch the first game and ask yourself are they even human?!
