Ok, question. I have one had for awhile and then all of a sudden started skipping stitches like last four projects. Done adjustments found on line, changed needle all that stuff nope. Now this morning it will chain stitch, but the outside needle will not stitch at all. I do not use it often, but just enough to need one. And now I've got six projects that need it and it will not sew properly. Thanks.

is it possible to do the inside hem with a coverstitch too so i dont have to buy a serger as well?

So basically a cover stitch machine does the job of a serger without a cutting blade? Is it just for knits?
I heard this wasn't vertical needles, is it still really good with knits?
Is this machine good with hemming jeans?
Is something like this okay for a beginner sewer?
How expensive is a cover stitch?
I got mine around black friday 2020 and it was $350 I believe but right now the model I have is marked up to $450.
