FNV as well as BioShock 1 & 2 are games I replay every to every other year. They never get old.

I grew up with the Fallout series, and I always recommend New Vegas as a jumping off point since F4 is more of a shooter than an rpg. I love the isometric games, and they’re fairly cheap. Give those a try, they’re amazing.
And F3 was more of a fan fiction for messing up the lore, I never recommend it as a starting point tbh

Good to see that you're enjoying new vegas, i've played it since it came out and still do to this very day with hundreds of mods load into the game.. Easily in my top 3 favorite games of all-time.

@@NovemberHotel If you're looking into mods, the willow companion is a must have. Along with the anti crash mod (so the game doesn't crash as much or at all while playing with a big amount of mods active).
I feel the exact same way I always come back to FNV, this game is so good and the mod community is god like for making this game age like fine wine.

New Vegas is the only good post-Bethesda Fallout game, and it wasn't even made by Bethesda...
Fallout 3 was so bad when New Vegas was released I knew Bethesda had nothing to do with the creation.

Been playing new vegas since I was 10, and New vegas is undoubtedly one of the best rpgs I've played in my lifetime, but can we talk about the radio? really brings you into the game and really immerses you in the game. One of the best soundtracks for a video game next to red dead 2 imo. Just a 10/10 game
100% new vegas radio is incredible. So many good classic songs to get me into the world

New Vegas is fantastic. Played through it at least thirty times and it just never gets old. The DLCs are also really good! Especially OWB and LR! Play them in release order.
I feel the exact same! OWB and LR are my fav as well. HH is alright, mainly just like Joshua graham and dead money is a bit tedious to play through haha. Still played through them all 4 times!
@@NovemberHotel dead money was tedious in a way that i loved, it wasn't overly frustrating or anything, it was just decently challenging, frankly other than maybe my first 30 minutes ever playing new vegas when i didn't even know what i was doing, dead money as a whole is the only time i ever really felt challenged by the gameplay in new vegas
well, i KINDA felt that with the boss fight against ulysses in lonesome road, but that felt more like an unfair challenge honestly cause he's an EXTREME bullet sponge on high difficulties and sends a lot of sentry bots at you during the fight too
To this day I can’t believe thats Mathew perry playing Benny 😂 crazy part I just found out a couple years ago 💀 he did a great job with Benny’s accent.

Did everything I could in Diablo 4 so I been bouncing back between this and Skyrim really re living my child hood and these are both my favorite games ever amazing games
Awesome video and Im glad you love New Vegas. Played Fallout 1 and 2, up to 3 which also my personal favorite despite its main story. Got bored with Fallout 4 cuz it feels different. Until 2019 I find out about New Vegas and so many people praising it as the best of them all. I loved it and to this day probably the only Fallout game Im still playing every time I finished working(and I've been in 3 different occupation lmao) but the game still feels good to play.
I loved it right up until the strip. I played on the regular Xbox and my several hundred hour playthrough was ruined by a bug; the never ending load screen.
I could never leave one of the casinos/hotels in the strip. I tried starting over, but just couldn't get over it, moved on.
I own it on Steam, now and maybe one day I'll finish it.
Talk to Victor and recruit him to fight the Powder Gangers and then talk to him again after the fight, mystery intensifies.
Pick up the shovel at the 2nd waterhole when doing the Sunny Smiles tutorial, you can loot graves with it.
Follow the road North of Goodsprings, see what happens.
There are so many little things just around Goodsprings!

Playing this game for the first time im when I was 9 was so weird especially when I saw a peculiar lady outside of the tops casino that scarred me forever
One hour of this game is better than Starfield.
My favourites are the dilemma side quest. Had to lay down to weight out the options.

FO:NV was way better than FO 3 and 4 but the original FO and FO 2 are still where its at for me for story and roleplaying. Cant beat the the originals IMHO

I remember my first NV experience, it was sampling the game on my friends PS3. Had a fun time despite not knowing anything.
Also I accidentally deleted his save game data.
Definitely one of the greatest RPGs ever made. I hope we will see some kind of remaster and a sequel.
Fortunately we are! Although it’s not by Bethesda (knowing them) but there’s a fallout 4 mod that is basically just taking the game and making it a little more modern while still keeping that rpg core. Knowing how large and tedious it can be the mod won’t be out for some time but still very exciting!!
@@luccas9102 I'm aware. That mod has been in development for some time now and it's unclear when, if even, it will be released.
I remember in early days of 360 of playing this game I bought it from GameStop I was bored with playing most the games I played which were shooters or baseline level of rpgs but when I saw this idk the guy on the cover of the box look so bad ass and it drawn me into the series after watching the first cutscene after that I was hooked , for years this has been one of my most favorite games of all time sitting right next to Dragon age origins and , Knights of the old republic and Jade empire, I never stopped loving this game and pc version gives so much more to play, Seeing people play this more gives me hope that maybe someday sometime in a long future we will have these kind of games return to us.

I played NV for the first time last month during exam season, I could not bring myself to put it down, and let to me failing a couple of exams, all worth it tho. And yeah, the thing that's really good about NV and older games in general is the lack of cutscenes. This game, for me is more immersive than RDR2. in RDR2 over half the game was watching cutscene or riding a horse to a place while hearing dialogue(borderline a cutscene), really good cutscenes, but it's too restrictive for my taste. This is a fantastic example that shows how good stories can be told without the excessive use of them. I'll start another playthrough this week, and I can definitely say that it's somewhere in my top 5 favourite games.
I've pretty much set Destiny 2 aside for the rest of the season to play thorugh this game! Sure, keep going with this great old game!

I Ligit almost missed out on new vegas I tried it last year for the first time I started out on fallout 4 then whent to fallout 3 and 76 then got nv and I love it soooo much
fallout nv was my first i remember being a kid an my cousin finishing the fallout nv for me so i could play now i been through the game 5 times i come back every year

i love NV quest and lore but i dont like the map so much i preffer the map of fallout 3

My first Fallout game was Fallout 1 and I have enjoyed playing every single one until Fallout 4 (never finished that one). New Vegas is really the best even tho I like playing through the old ones (even the meh Fallout: Tactics) every now and then. I really like each game especially for its dark humor / sarcasm.
Btw, if you ever play through Fallout 1 or 2, try another run but with the Intelligence stat on 1. It will change your dialog options quite a bit. It's a shorter run with quite funny "dialogs" but also a bit difficult at the final boss (-> probably best not to spend the extra skill points on luck then).
Just FYI, both Fallout 1 and 2 are on sale at steam right now.

@@NovemberHotel Just so there are no surprises, the combat in Fallout 1 & 2 is turn-based (that is where V.A.T.S comes from). So, pay attention to the number of action points (-> agility stat) when creating a character. It can mean the difference between shooting once or twice per turn (killing or be killed).
Also, if you encounter a hungry dog (possibly with the name "Dogmeat"), feed him! You'll see! ; )
You’re not effortlessly exploring underwater caves and pulling bomber planes from lakes with a rebreather in Fallout 4!! If Fallout 5 was New Vegas, completely remade with the same story. DLC included because I can’t get it on PS4. It would be absolutely INSANE 🔥

I actually quite liked the outer worlds. Played it several times. Wouldn’t say it’s better than new Vegas though, however it is better than Starfield in my opinion!

On one hand, i kinda wish i could experience new vegas for the first time again, on the other hand I'm glad i got to experience it fresh when it was new... On the third hand growing out of my torso however, the graphics were never very good so all the important parts haven't aged a bit.
What platform did you play this on? I've got an Xbox 360 copy but I assume I can play it on my original Xbox One with backwards compatibility. I just don't know if I have to pay for Microsofts live service to play it.
I’m playing on PC. It’s $2.50 on steam right now if you’ve got a PC if you wanna mod it. But it is backwards compatible on Xbox one as well

i started gaming in like 2007 or so my dad found a copy of fo2 at goodwill we both tried it couldn't figure out how to get past the temple didn't even know what the game was about till one fateful day i was bored and i made it through the temple and after that was hooked beat it so many times till i heard about fo3 i just had to get an xbox my folks bought it for me on pc but our pc couldn't run it so seeing fallout in 3d as my first ever real video game still hold a special place in my heart imagine my dissapointment when new vegas came out i was so excited then i got to play it and it was terrible it was an empty dessert nothing interesting at all vegas itself was tiny and sad the story was meh then i played fo1 and tactics and heard about brotherhood and it dawned on me that only fo2 and 3 where any good yet everyone praises nv like its something

Bethesda bought the Fallout rights from what was then Interplay. Few years pass and Bethesda realesed the amazing Fallout 3, and when then went to work on Skyrim they gave Obsidian the chance to make New Vegas, and Obsidian was once Interplay. So they did the best Fallout game ever imo in New Vegas. Pretty cool how it comes full circle for Interplay Entertainment now known as Obsidian Entertainment
i played ALOT of fallout 4 for a long time, got bored one day of exploring and listening to preston whine..and returned to this absolute goat last year and can't put it down. I'm on run#4 now in the past 2 months, while I love the mood and environment of Fallout 3, this game brings so much. From being able to just bugger off and do your thing/short intro, the many fun types of guns, character choice, cool companions (team veronica) and freedom to do anything. the mod community has picked up lately too.

I got into Fallout with 3, stayed because of New Vegas. Only downside I had was that there was no Elvis songs especially in Freeside.
In less than two years I have played Fallout:New Vegas for almost 500 hours.
I urge you to test Fallout 2, even tho you might have to remake this video. I strongly think you would really like it, simply based on the opinions coming trough your videos, which i completely agree.

New Vegas always felt more like a board game than a video game to me. You know like wastelanders. Which I know it's loosely based on but it follows a little too damn closely.
Although I do like how the game's more of a experience it does make you feel like what you doing the game actually has some worth.
I've given Fallout Vegas so many tries but I could never get into it. Loved Fallout 4 because of the building, power armor and weapon customization. I know everyone like Vegas for the story but I dunno

Fallout New Vegas is to this day probably one of my singular favorite games of all time. It is SO fucking good. Is always so much fun and regardless of how many times I've beat the game I always come back to it. It's THAT damn good. If anybody reads this and you haven't played it, you're doing yourself a disservice. Play the game.

I recommend PC but I’ve played on Xbox 360 and it was perfectly good as well. And it’s backwards compatible on Xbox One or Series S/X

Only downside is after you beat the game you can't keep playing it starts you right before you finish off Caesars legion.
There’s a few mods that allow and make awesome changes to the world post completion. It’s pretty cool

You’re not capped at 5 special points to spend at the start of the game. You can lower the other ones. Trust me you haven’t played new Vegas till you play a low intelligence high luck build. The unique dialogue options alone make it worth while

You can be mates with Goodsprings & powderer ganagers. Side with Ringo an when the Powder Ganagers turn up don’t shoot let the Goodsprings citizens kill them an you only get shunned all friends

there literally no reason to not use viva new vegas to mod the game in 2023 if you have no experience. The modding video tutorial in the description is not the way to go.
Dunno if anybody ever made a decent complete translation yet, but if there has been advances on that front, seriously check out the Russian fan mod Fallout: Sonora for 2, it no joke is one of the best Fallout related things ever made and it's absurd how much care and thought somebody dumped into it. It genuinely has no reason to be as excellent as it is but somebody really gave a shit

Fallout New Vegas IS the best game in the franchise. There are efforts to put NV into Fallout 4. But if you want a Fallout experience play Tale of Two Wastelands that mix F3 and NV into one.

I regret playing New Vegas as both my first fallout and first 'RPG' game, because it made everything else look mid
The only action RPG that I found rivals New Vegas complexity are Deus Ex 1/HR, Tyranny, and KCD. Yet the wold still kinda small compared to New Vegas
fnv is still my favorite game, i've squeezed every bit of entertainment out of it now just waiting for myself to miss and forget it so i can re-experience it again.
