It's hard to replace such an extraordinary all-rounder, even today.
Zulu klusner had everything to become one of the best all rounders of all time. Kallis was stable batman and klusner was hard hitter both of them were good bowlers as well.

He is not underrated the contribution he have had in south african team he got enough praise because after 99 wc he never fulfilled the expectations his team and fans had except few here n there performances he never repeated the heroics of 99wc ever…he started bowling slow medium pace and very inconsistent with the bat but the impact of 99wc was so deep in everyone’s mind that it took south african board 5 years to finally drop him from the side…

After 1999 WC, First SA beat them in ODI by 2-1 and managed to draw another ODI series by 1-1
But it was Dec 2001 when SA toured Australia, from this onwards , SA completely surrendered before Australia and it continued
There were a lot of games, where SA could have won but it was Australia's agression that they would always elude them the victory
It continued untill 2008, though they managed to won series by 3-2 in 2006
