Not many bowling side get that kind of support from their fielding Dept. catches and run outs in clutch moments is recorded best when it comes to fielding by OZs. They just know how to grab and hit the stumps. Superb fielding unit. One of the many reasons why they conquered decades in cricket. Edit: In this match their fielding itself produced 4 wickets. 2 superb run-outs and catches.

Except that Jacob Oram injured his hand in the first game of the series while fielding and didn't play in games 2 or 3. He never batted, so he did exactly zero "slaughtering" in this series.
Great series. The most fun i ever had in a week of cricket. Beat aussie by 10wkts at wellington, 300+ chase at Auckland then that 340 back from the dead in Hammertown. Plus a bonus of Hadyn getting 180. Crazy!
One of those games where barely anyone in NZ was watching the start but by the 35th everyone who slightly liked cricket had their tvs on to watch this famous chase!
Awesome knock. The one I think finally topped this was Glen Maxwell 201* in the WC against Afghanistan after Australia were almost going to lose miserably.
Two factors cause Australia loose 1. Low score in small ground, 347 is not that much score in that ground of Christchurch, they should atleast score additional 35-50 runs. 2. Excessive hitting of sixes from New Zealand team, in fact each tailender also hit at least a six in that match except mark Gillespie.
