First of all he wasn't deep enough all he had to do was pull down and back at the same time, step his led leg first and out side his opponent's leg and readjust his hands and down we go.
With some guys it’s like ….. you got a hold of the leg and it’s in the air. You’re 5% of the way there.
And a lot closer to being taken down yourself.

He was trying to pull his leg closer to the mat so he could actually take him down on the mat so it could actually count as a takedown.
